So they deemed GN6 and HP7 too expensive for Samsung's own phone, yet they think 320MP is the better choice? No thanks, sensor size over resolution all day long.

A small 440 mpix sensor is going to essentially be a GIF generator. It would be lucky to get 2 bits per pixel. Physics limits how many photons can squeeze through a tiny lens in a 1/30 second exposure and it limits how sharp the image can be.
10 mpix is around the usable limit for a cellphone lens. If you have a real camera, you know how $#@& bulky and expensive lenses are that have an optical resolution matching the sensor.

Too much gimmick, how come no professional camera with such high resolution even with full frame sensor? If it improved anything then professional cameras would be first to adopt this but these companies know very well that professionals and enthusiasts won't fall for this nonsense like ignorant masses will.

And adding fake mp is cheaper and less complicated than increasing sensor size so Samsung is milking this as long as they can

Look at jpeg and dng out of xperia. There is barely difference. Just bit of sharpening and bit more contrast.
Level of modification is almost zero.
Other like google adds tons of artificial details to improve texture.
Fake details, not what camera is able to achieve.
Excess of sharprning is how you make grass and trees look ugly.
Galaxy S, iphone and pixel are phones that insert the highest amount of sharpening.

And for China OS phones the government makes sure you cannot remove the spyware with adb nor switch of stuff like monitoring how many hours per day children or teens can do XY. It's only active inside China and does age verification via WeChat account.
Also by default if you unelect bloatware on first start Samsung has way less than Xiaomi or BBK. Vivo and Oppo Chinese market phones comes with over 120 individual apps that are all spyware or bloatware and loads of stuff is broken by design. Xiaomi you can flash because bootloader is unlockable, for BBK that only applies to OnePlus.

Moreover, the outer screen will, with time, adopt a more rational aspect ratio like 21:9 or 20:9. Also, with time, they will figure out how to reduce crease to absolute minimum. Once they do, Fold will be a perfect Note replacement.
