Bad marketing is again killing HTC. My parents had a very hard time getting a single HTC One in USA. At last they got one the white version. I saw the galaxy s 4. It felt cheaper than the S3. I would never but a phone that feels so cheap. No matter how many software features they offer me.

HTC already commented that the numbers weren't official. "That number comes from the same unnamed source that is referenced throughout the WSJ article. Unfortunately, that isn't an official figure"
Let's wait and see.

Also (as per the review) the S4 did beat it in low-light conditions, albeit not on every picture. The HTC One has a bad camera period.

The only thing they can't get away with is a trade-off on a flagship. Samsung only messed up the design, and this is forgivable. So people should stop comparing the two of them.

Nobody should buy a feature phone for hundreds of euros.

They do sth called research to find out if 13MP cameras actually capture details, not just noise (like the HTC One's camera), or if the plastic body can take scratches (which the HTC One cannot take well). Sensibility will succeed, and quantity is good, not just 'quality'.

But If you go through software and hardware which matters 90% on overall life of the phone I bet they can't come close to same level as Samsung...

No one said anything when S4 reached 10 million mark. Why doubt HTC one hitting 5 million mark? HTC phones are far superior than Samsung. Samsung uses the cheapest material possible to build their S-series.
