They all have large speakers and a... moreThe Asus ROG phone line and Sony xperia line both use Googles proprietary apps which sucks, don't want to install custom roms for either. Both trash using google apps. If Sony went back to using there apps back in the day and do what samsung is doing with using there own stock apps, such as the phone dialler app, text messaging app, contacts app, gallery app, calendar app, and email app. Bring back the glory old days SONY!!!

I've read tons of reviews here & there. Conclusions:
1- first, Chinese Rom with only EN language menu available is preferred over global one as it gets update more frequently & also less weird issues has been reported from buyers. so ask for chinese device from sellers (if possible) if you use English menu all the time anyway.
2- users MUST install Gcam which brings true capability of the phone sensors as Nubia Camera teams needs to push real quality update(s) for camera. wide is great. main camera is good too but colors are off and warm (most of time if not all) or blue sometimes (snow). gcam fixed & tuned HDR + AF + Colors, also OV64b results are more detailed as well. selfie photos can be improved a little too.
3- make sure to enable developer options as useful features for even novice users like to use the toggles there such as lock refresh rate, background apps, etc...
4- it gets hot as Nubia pushes high watt for a more stable 60-120fps experience on games after 30min, hopefully nubia could fix it or add "thermal priority" option to gaming space to handle it per user demand. but if one use charger , separate charging will help in temps.

Name one thing updates bring other than adding compatibility for devices you'll never own, or useless cosmetic changes. And if you seriously think "security" is something you get with an update then LOL

How is this 'aggressive pricing'? 700 euros for a Chinese phone with a spotty support history, no wireless charging and marginal photo results? Plenty of other options from trusted manufacturers,

j.s., 09 Jan 2024I have had the phone for 4 days now, and it has already (My... morehi does the udc hole slightly visible when at normal brightness? mine are still visible (lighter color) against grey shade background, i wonder if mine is faulty? it get even worse at lower brightness it turns to very visible green and pulsating in the shape of sauron eyes. it also get very hot to touch when playing pubg for a couple of br match. what is your software version now? i dont know if mine is china or global version

The main issue I have is that they don't update their phones at all. I had an axon 40 Ultra and they only updated it twice before halting support for it. Came with Android 12 and is still on Android 12.

Anonymousxe, 08 Jan 2024Zenfones sucks, with their blotted google apps, crapdo a search on here. zenfone is only one below 150mm with a decent cmos [above 48mp] and a 3.5mm. i have the a41 which is ok, a bit slow though. it was my only other option. at one time i saw a huawei in the list, it even had a snap soc i think [the p30] only you cannot unlock the bootloader to put on a custom rom so that became a no go.

ZTE marketing trolls are hyperactive here. Don't bother, no one in West will buy phone without proper support. What next? Z70 model next year with the same problems? The only good chinese products are audio items.

No it isnt. Phones need to last for more than 1 or 2 years, and updates are one of the best ways to make a phone last longer. It also keeps up the value in the used phone market
