This gives peace of mind when the phone breaks down for those who refused to pay for cloud storage, just to store small documents. Also it's practically free and no worries about hacking.

I can't help but the Find X6 Pro design was more beautiful.
I like the Find X7 ultra only in the black variant and I was very much looking forward to the white-brown version because I like it the most on the Find X6 Pro, but this is ugly :( Are you satisfied with the design of the phone? Do you honestly like it?

Sometimes I think many tech enthusiasts reall... moreYou do realize that the reason these companies removed the 3.5mm jack and the micro SD card is not because people stopped using it or because it was deemed obsolete but it was because of company greed. They removed the micro SD to force consumers to either buy the more expensive models with more storage or subscribe to their cloud storage for infinite profits. There are actually a lot of people complaining about using cloud storage because it uses too much bandwidth and/or the network speed is simply too slow when you actually need it outside of a wifi signal. They took out the 3.5 mm jack because they wanted to sell their wireless buds. And wireless earbuds are notoriously easy to lose and the battery pretty much stops working after a year or two. If you look at the amount of people buying third party dongles, or cheap usb-c buds, it's actually a pretty sizable demographic. But obviously, they would never acknowledge it because they want the consumers to have a perceived notion that they are doing this because it's what the consumers want even as far as gaslighting their clientele that wired headphones are old tech but the best headphones are still wired. If they can put a secondary sim card slot, they can easily put a micro SD card. In fact, the second sim card slot used to give you the option to either use it as another sim card or a micro SD slot. But they took it out because they are trying to make storage a subscription-based business using cloud.

RX100 VII is all about maintaining a decent image quality across the zoom range. Its lens isn't very sharp (Common for a dedicated camera of this kind) even if you stop it down, but thanks to the optical zoom it can reach very far without losing too much light or resolution. The auto mode does OK, but to get the most out of it, you must shoot in RAW and develop on a desktop-grade photo editing software.

Smartphone cameras are all about having the most "balanced" looking photos consistently. Many high-end phones use very sharp lenses for their main cameras (and sometimes telephotos), but since they are prime lenses they lose pretty badly to the aforementioned zoom cameras whenever, well, zoom is involved. At the standard wide angle FoV, the likes of Xiaomi 14 Pro, Vivo X100 Pro, Oppo Find X6 Pro or Find N3 will most likely churn out more usable images than RX100 VII if you're in medium to low light condition, or shooting in complex lighting (e.g. against backlight).

To put it simply, if you're on a trip and want to capture the landmark that is 50m away from you RX100 does it miles better. If you're just shooting day-to-day stuff (Food, landscape shots that require wide dynamic range, anything taken in low light), high-end smartphones really dominate.

It seems like while the geniuses at samsung decides to be a sheep and follow the fruit with 5x optical sensor and giving up its crown jewel as king of 10x optical Zoomand became a pauper.
Others are upping their Ante here like Oppo here with Bigger sensor and 6x Optical zoom. Hail the new King of optical zoom and not some gimicky software zoom. Law of physics dictates; no matter how much Sammy Fanboi likes to spin it the new 5x optical zoom cannot match the 10x Optical in real live usage for anything beyond 30x and at 50x; it is is just night and day difference.
Once again while Sammy decides to sit on its laurel on the S24 hardware camera upgrade instead of upgrading the hardware of the 10x optical (had been the same for last 3 years) others are beating it now with its S24 Ultra; same thing like the Oneplus Open now widely regarded as superior to the Z Fold 5 as majority of 80% people hate the tiny width of the front screen that is limiting to do anything other than to glace at notifications only. Another fail from Samsung for the S24 Ultra and probably the most important phone in their portfolio. Very disappointing that While the Chinese firms chose to innovate and move forward Sammy instead wanted to be a sheep and go backwards to follow the fruit lol.

Also, your... moreActually the only sd cards worth buying cost more than equivalent portable ssds and far slower speeds, you realise the type C port can transfer data at 5gb - 10gb/s right? Also i record tonnes of 4k footage, i have maybe 40+ videos, some lasting more than 10+ minutes at 60fps on cloud, instantly uploads even while im at the concert/low signal areas and ive never had 1 issue, ever.

Again the type C port does passive and active passthrough so no, the headphone jack wont produce better quality music (you can use the port as a midi device to so connect actual instruments too but lets forget this fact i guess). The DaC will play a more important role, its why i miss LG with their quad 32 bit DaC set ups (i still have a lg g5, i could buy the B&H DaC and could even use it for a laptop or PC for improved audio).

Ive got mates with £3k audio setups with £1000 open backed professional headphones and yeah, they produce slightly clearer sound than my £200 BT headphones, main benefit is the sound stage for the sound than overall quality but thats really closed back vs open. My mate actually sold his £800 senheisser headphones and just uses his sony 1000mx4 now because even he says "very little difference in sound quality, and i prefer flexibility of no wires and multi device connection", he did sound engineering at manchester university (probably the best in the country for music production).

Ive been an android user since the T-mobile g1, one of the very 1st android devices (so probably one of the longest users of android on this site including the actual gsm team) and before lg went bust i was an advocate to modular phone designs, ive owned more phones with those features too (i currently own an lg g4, lg g5, galaxy s7 edge just to name a few phones, i bought the huawei p40 pro purposely for the card slot that i never needed).

I guess my A level in business and friends who stuided it at university level are all wrong then with how business works?

Actual engineers coming out and explained how they make the shell for phones you know and amount of money goes in to designing a phone, even for apple? When did i ever agree that apple removing it was good?

Orginally i bashed them hard for it but BT tech and the tech in your phone has improved to the point it really isnt a thing anymore so I'd rather any company spend less time and RnD costs that then is pushed on the CONSUMER than those features that ive not even come close to needing since 2017 (and i live in areas where you get no signal just walking room to room or 30 feet down a road or 30 mins of a 40 min train ride with no signal, youtube and BT works fine and uploading/sending pics n vids).

Android phone makers cut it because they need to make profit and stay financially relevant vs the big 3, if they can mass produce 1 phone shell but essentially use it for multiple different devices sometimes and it keeps the quality and structure of the phone lasting then I'd take that any day of the week, plus even without ip ratings the phone will be more water proof and rigid just because of this (also has everyone forgot LG now and how they pushed the boundries of a phone yet no one bought them?) You clearly dont understand costs for business and electronic parts and how they work i guess.
