The gaming festures that are referred to have also been reduced drastically.
No gamer would comply with the lost of high quality stereo front firing speakers , 6000 mAh battery and active cooling in favour of IP68 rating, wireless charging and passive cooling.
I hope Asus realize their mistake and give us a gaming phone worthy of the ROG tag. Otherwise RedMagic and Legion are looking really good alternatives.

LevelUp Solo, 24 Jan 2024I cannot believe you think pc users can't use WhatsApp 😦Steam deck Uses Steam Os, based on Arch Linux. So far, There is no Whatsapp for Linux, And L. User are instructed for using WA Web (The One on the browser)
And despite there are whatsapp on Win 11 (The OS that ROG used), You can't use a Separate SIM For that WA since Steam D And ROG Ally Don't have any cellular connectivity.

My current phone is s20 ultra, thinking of upgrading to ROG8pro, its cheaper than the s24 ultra. Im tired of samsung's region locking of chipset BS

Remind me why Sony still keep the bezel on their phones. Not every trend has to be followed. Remember the time Sony removed the headphone jack on their flagship phones? Even they realized it was a bad idea all along and put it back since 2020 and keep it to this day.

mkbhd said rog 8 pro's performance is good.
Rog 8 pro have wide, ultrawide and telephoto camera, but all the photos taken is mediocre (sometime is bad), meanwhile its price is 1500 USD.
My planning is better buy S23+ or S24+ , then put Peltier Game cooler on the back,
then *voila* , a gaming phone

Look like ROG phone end at 7... If ZenFone can't fight just end it don't merge with Rog department...
ZenFone is use to be affordable phone now is just overpriced... tbh ZenFone might be the smaller group of people buying it smaller than ROG IMO...
A gaming phone without gaming features is just BS I blame those none gamers kept bashing on Rog phone which they'll never buy in the 1st place...

Why do people even bother buying gaming phones these days when products like ROG Ally and Steamdeck are way cheaper and more suited to gaming.
