Anonymous, 24 Jan 2024huawei still alive? lmoa Sounds like a salty human being is puzzled. Huawei was very much alive and they are ready to take the market they owned before from apple and samsung

Anonymous, 24 Jan 2024huawei still alive? lmoa Yes they are, don't be jealous.

Vin Aigre, 24 Jan 2024Yes but Harmony NEXT will come this year.Yes. It'll be interesting to see a new mobile OS aside from IOS and Android.
However, the consumer version of NEXT is due to launch end of this year.
Therefore I think devices for consumer sale probably won't be available until well into 2025.

Now, the price is what will separate the s24 from the rest and I think they put a competitive price tag on the s24 series

Harmony OS is based on Android Open Source Project (AOSP) led by Google. Huawei can't use Google services, but they are still dependent on Google for their OS code.
There is no Harmony OS without Google sharing their Android code openly. Just like Amazon Fire's OS, or the old Nokia X is, they are all dependent on Google's AOSP but they don't have or have limited Google services.
Of Google makes android closed source instead of open, other manufactures in other countries cannot switch to Harmony OS, it will become copyrighted. And other countries have much stricter plagiarism rules.

Anonymous, 23 Jan 2024If it's using Kirin, I'm assuming no global release? We will see.

If they prepare a second model with EMUI version maybe they will recieve a SD8G2+? Who knows?

                            Variable aperture: f/1.4 to f/4.0
Innovation, reliability, snaps, sunny day, ultrawide macro, background blur, Huawei, best.

Consumer, 23 Jan 2024I'm sure the variable aperture would mean so much to m... moreOV50H is a large sensor, though. Paired with a variable aperture lens at f1.4, low-light photos will surely look clean. However, at f1.4, group shots can be tricky do as your focus range is narrower. Maybe an f2.8 is ideal under such situation.

I'm sure the variable aperture would mean so much to me in practical use cases in my day-to-day life: taking snaps of flowers, groceries, and photos of pets with a creamy bokeh in the background.

With an f1.4 aperture, I can boost my shutter speed without increasing ISO for a cleaner image output of kids running around indoors in low-light situations.
