zennk, 29 Jan 2024its because of the ads expect efficiency from this brand... moreI have xiaomi mi 9se with 68% of 3070mah battery left, LOS20 and no google apps at all. I have no ads and upto 6hours of screen time and phone has soon 5 years on my hands. So it is all about software. No tracking, no battery drain in general

Max price for any Redmi note series should be at most 300 euro to make sense.
Note series dont shine well in performance and are more for camera as of now. But even camera is trash for the price point they sell the phone.

Especially when they have options like Poco X6 and X6 Pro that both be under 400 euro as cheaper then the Note Pro+ while also have decent cameras on them that will be more then you ever need anyways. If your a camera fanatic then you would not look under the top end flagship anyways as you wont find anything to beat flagship cameras in the middle range.

X6 with the 7s Gen 2 not so good but it's not that bad either and it's under 300 euro.
X6 Pro on the other hand have beast performance and is also something like 380 euro for 12GB ram and 512GB storage version.

Note Pro+ needs to have a really awesome camera in the over 400 euro price point to justify the rest of the specs like Dimensity 7200U that is around 800k in Antutu v10
That should be the cheapest Dimensity flagship series as there is also 8300 and 9300
While you get 8300U in under 400 euro phones. Sadly Pro+ dont have like good main camera and then also a good telephoto camera in this Pro+ at over 400 euro. Makes me questiuon what it has to make this high price. Note 5 ai (eu version of note 5 pro) 5 years ago was best Note series and 6GB 64GB at that time cost 210 euro while i bought the 3/32gb for 170 euro. Phone still works for me and was in use for 5 years. Now past 8 months being back in the box while i have new phone as F5 8GB

The price for Note series have gone so up and have nothing special for them. It's already like Samsung A series that is basically same and boring.
At least there are Poco and Realme that still offer something interesting for low price.

Tyas2012, 29 Jan 2024Poor results. I don't understand why new Android phone... moreBecause the impact of (usual/light) SOC usage is quite low on the battery... the biggest battery drainer is always the display and displays are getting higher res and higher (peak) brightness which results in higher battery drain

Strawhat, 29 Jan 2024Yeah for you dude. Manufacturer needs to make a balanced ph... moreyou're kinda right but if people can buy 245 g iPhone 14 Pro Max's then they can definitely buy 220 g Redmi Note phones with bigger batteries. Now midrange phones are slow AND have bad battery.

Anonymous, 29 Jan 2024It is not about performence, it is about efficiency.I know. Poco x6 pro have great power efficiency and great battery score.

jiyen235, 29 Jan 2024Maybe it's just me but if I'm getting a big phone... moreYeah for you dude. Manufacturer needs to make a balanced phone for most of the people.
For example many request for small phone, but how many people will buy small phone?
Thats why Apple didn't sell iPhone mini again because low sales

Strawhat, 29 Jan 2024Xiaomi can easily use 6000 mah battery or more. But if they... moreMaybe it's just me but if I'm getting a big phone I'd expect a big screen AND a big battery. Weight is secondary. Besides, this phone is light compared to the 13 Ultra, they could've pushed it closer to that level I think.

Sorry to say, but your new updated battery testing system is so confusing and overwhelming. Cannot get the idea what the average score, good score is. Can you please revert back to Endurance Rating system?

Poor results. I don't understand why new Android phones has worse battery life than older one's despite all SOC makers claiming +15% efficiency every year. I understand, that raw computing power is also increased, but that power doesn't need to be used when watching videos. Also I hate vendors that increasing charging speed instead (or even in cost) of battery life.

rizki1, 29 Jan 2024no, the mid ranger has almost no screen with expensive tech... moreThis phone has already been available since the start of October in China so I think most of the battery and camera optimisations will already have been done. In my experience with Redmi, the software optimisations have been the worst of any brand I've owned. After three months it was just sporadic security patches until the Hyper OS upgrade so I'd expect most of the optimisation to have already been done before the global launch given they've had the Chinese version out for quite a while. All the budget flagships without LTPO are also doing much better for battery life. These cheap screens are probably less efficient alright although I think the processor is likely the main reason.

Aierlan, 29 Jan 2024A few years ago one of the biggest advantages of midrangers... moreno, the mid ranger has almost no screen with expensive technology like LTPO that's quite helpful. And this phone's screen resolution is also higher than most competitors. Of course software updates can help improve battery life... try looking at the A54 with the Note 12 Pro, the old test A54 has better battery life but the new test Note 12 Pro is better... I think it's because of the software update.

A few years ago one of the biggest advantages of midrangers was battery life. However the current crop of flagships with the most powerful chips and better brighter screens (even 2k screens in some cases) have far better battery life than midrangers like this and the Redmi note 13 pro. That's good to. See from the point of view of flagships. The flagship processors have improved efficiency a lot but the midrangers haven't. The video quality, especially the stabilization on this phone also suffers due to the processor. Pricing also isn't that good and the phone is relatively old. They launched it a long time ago in China so it was designed to compete with last year's midrangers. The global launch is too late. There will be far better midrangers launched later this year wh
