I'd rather buy Asus... moreROG 8 only got a 1080p screen, and the camera settings are not that great, compared to not merely Pro's but the standard X100. Also, while ROG is a phone for gaming, they are similar in gaming performance, both quite good.

Thanks for all the people who buy themselves new $1000 phones every year. That way I could buy my refurbished S21 in excellent condition for $200 which can do everything these $1000 phones do and it's remaining software support policy is still more solid than that of new chinese phones.

Bought a Vivo X100 Pro 16/512 Gb with Chinese Rom for 850 Euros. No issues so far. 1200 is too expensive. Better go for a Chinese Rom if you really want one

I really miss my MicroSD card for that ...

Only 7,1GB take... moreI meant 200 MP photos also I was also talking about taking hundreds of videos too, I fill up my storage all the time, I think I'll buy a phone next time when there's a 1TB option available for less than 1200 dollars/euros. Oneplus 12 is great but there's no 1 TB option.

It's a nice phone, but is it not worth that much. At least to me. The max I would pay for a Chinese flagship would be €450.
It does not really have anything revolutionary and you will be potentially dealing with all kinds of software issues. In addition to having only 3 years of updates (if you even get them).
The camera may be subjectively better than the Pixel, the Galaxy, or the iPhone, but it's not that much better.

If the don't count Samsung trowing discount coupon everywhere, not interested in any of these 2 (too large) but I do follow both topics, and it was without phone trade in pretty easy to get a S24U for under 1100 euro, with Samsung member vouchers even under 1000.
That is the real issue, Samsung their MSRP is meant for people that don't know about these coupons.
Not to mention that Vivo phones are hard to come by in my country, carriers don't sell them, Vivo ignores my country and the few stores that sell them ask higher prices because they can.
Which is a shame because Vivo makes fine phones.

I understand it's a great phone with great specs but they won't have any success in Europe with €1200 price tag...
Chinese phone brands have to do like the Chinese car brands when coming to Europe: good products and lower prices than competitors, build their reputation etc

Well it will be much cheaper in Europe than S24 Ultra, and it has better rear cameras (all of them), much faster charging with charger in the box, better battery life, etc...
