Anonymous, 08 Mar 2024I can gladly pay an additional $200 premium for Snapdragon pixel.Pixel is aimed at consumers largely clueless about phone performance besides random simple speedtests, and software feature comparisons. Google obviously aims in making cheap phones feel simple, yet expensive, not create expensive phones feel more expensive.
I wouldn't expect leaps from them, as it has never happened since Nexus days, and probably never will, anytime soon.

Exynos 2200, Exynos 2400 and Exynos 1430 and Exynos 1480 are still in the development stage)

I'm still clinging onto my old Pixel 5 with SD chip - it's not even a good SD chip, I've just been so put off Pixel 6+ so much after reading about all the problems with Tensor - maybe Tensor isn't as bad as I think?
The fact that Pixel 5 is significantly smaller than any other phone Google phone released since 2020 is also a big factor for me.

Being 12 months behind the bleeding edge is still pretty good, and over & above what most people actually need - especially if you're getting it much cheaper than the latest SD top-tier chips.

Last time I heard that G4 w... moreIt's waaaaay worse it's a cut down version of Exynos 2400, if will have 8 cores, with 1+3+4 configuration and slower clocks, what's even worse it will not use Xclipse AMD GPU but instead have 2 year old Mali G-715 GPU 🤮🤮🤮, and it's also a cut down version used in 2 year old Dimensity 9200.
