Can I get Pixel 9s with snapdragon inside please google?

iPhone 15 pro max the phone of the year!!! I don't read haters

No way, the next generation product is going to make improvements compared to the current gen product? I didn't see that one coming. 🙄

Still can't see it matching Qualcomm for efficiency and battery life. Modems are also a serious weakness for anything made by Samsung's foundry.

Darth Caesium, 07 Mar 2024And that's exactly what really annoys me. Google has s... moreI think they need to fix their availability issues more than they need to advertise, the Pixel 7 at least in my country is like a cult hit, most tech-ey people know about it and are buying it for like less than 500 dollars in my country and I'd say job well done to them. Great cameras, great software and at an amazing price. So Google would do better if they had better availability in other countries so people can buy them easily and without outrageous prices set by third party sellers cus most people who care about the Pixels, know about them.

jiyen235, 07 Mar 2024I want them to compete better too, the Pixel 7 was a banger... moreAnd that's exactly what really annoys me. Google has such a perfect opportunity here to break Samsung's, and to a lesser extent Apple's market share. They have the perfect set of conditions in which they can do this, and they're not doing it because they're scared of committing to anything and because they're greedy. If they did even half of the things I mentioned with their next phones and advertised the hell out of their phones' capabilities and features, they would gain staggering market share overnight.

Darth Caesium, 07 Mar 2024I want them to lower their margins in order to better compe... moreI want them to compete better too, the Pixel 7 was a banger for me and 128 GB of storage with UFS 3.1 made sense at that price but yeah Google has suddenly become the greediest f*cks out there. What I'm saying is, they're so greedy that if they were to implement even one of those features they'd drive the price higher to justify it and act like they're doing US a favor by giving us those features. Google just can't seem to understand the power of volume sales and how, though flawed, their cheaper models are perhaps some of the best phones in their respective category, the Pixel 6 or 7 and the Pixel 6a or 7a. 60 Hz isn't flagship grade yes but it was 2 years ago so yeah the 6a definitely wasn't bad especially considering the chip and camera capabilities. 90 Hz imo is what most people need, 60 hz is too slow and the jump from 90 to 120 is good but not huge like the jump from 60 to 90 so the Pixel 7 and 7a feel smooth af. What I wonder is, why is it that a 1099 euro phone is going to have the same chip as a 570 euro phone (pixel 8 pro and the rumored price of the pixel 8a)? That's half the price and goes to show Google can make some of the best low midrange-budget flagship yet they just don't understand that and don't tap into their own potential. Thinking most people buy the Pro phones, they don't and they won't because the Pro model isn't THAT much better like compare the 15 Plus and the 15 Pro Max and the S24 Plus to the S24 Ultra.

jiyen235, 07 Mar 2024they're already having a hard time keeping prices down... moreI want them to lower their margins in order to better compete. Increase the quality without increasing the price. The Tensor chips are cheaper to use for Google, and their deal with Samsung for those chips may also translate to having other Samsung products for cheaper, and having better control over them (such as having custom orders), but they still don't have UFS 4.0 storage, still start at 128GB of storage, have terrible quality selfie cameras (because Samsung gave them a cheap deal for their J11 sensor that nobody else wanted to use except for Huawei with their Huawei P50 Pocket), and are not able to outright beat Samsung on quality with certain things. Google could absolutely steamroll Samsung if they wanted to, but they're not doing that because of the company's workplace culture that promotes a lack of long-term commitment and greed.

Give it a bigger fingerprint sen... morethey're already having a hard time keeping prices down, if they added those features they'd jack up prices to 1400+ dollars for the Pro model, don't give them any ideas bro I don't want Google to cook lmao

I don't give a damn about benchmarks. The overheating problem from Pixel 7 seems to have been resolved in 8.

Now, what we need more than anything is a better modem!

what about the chip's design? did google finally redesign it from scratch or it still based on exynos?

How would it matters if the focal length is 113 mm or 120 mm or 125 mm?? It's all too close and you are scratching the surface! You are basically fighting for 4.7x vs 5x vs 5.2x zoom (24mm as 1x) basically! Also when you are talking about adding IMX 858, you are just trying to make it another Chinese hardware beast! Google is making a 1000 usd phone! Not a 1300 dollar Xiaomi! Though I do agree that Google is still overpriced! Even if it had 8 gen 3, 900 usd would have been enough! Well anyways Samsung doesn't use the greatest hardware for it's 5x periscope but it actually does one of the best zooms! And the pixel selfie camera is already wide! You have that option! It crops in for 1x and since it's selfie and the algorithm is Gcam, there is always enough details! And I don't want, infact most people don't want an ugly pill on the front constantly blocking the screen forever just for some specsheet upgrades!

This Tensor nonsense is just that...nonsense.

Well, this is interesting news. Last time I heard that G4 was suspended, and instead Google is going to do G5 with TSMC. So what's this G4? Will it just be a rebranded Exynos 2400?

Only the Pixel 3 series and the Tecno Phantom X had this. It should be a no-brainer to do what I'm asking because the ToF 3D sensor would also provide useful Laser Autofocus in the dark. You'd get the best selfies ever.
