      and to answer your questions google does that on your behave, I can switch to any android phone made by any company from luxurious to cheap one, I will have my things on each one of them. Apple is just a show of product like status in the society. 😜😜😜

          This entire issue in a nutshell:

          EU: we command you to let your users have more freedom in what they do on their phones
          Apple: there's no reason for any of this, all you're gonna do is cause chaos and confusion among average users!!!!
          EU: look dawg, you be power tripping, we're putting an end to your monopoly

The only catch is the target phone must be in reset from fractory state, unless the target phone is a Samsung phone. I've done this back n forth between iOS and Android, all went without a hitch. Whatsapp has done an exemplary job here.

                                      I think SMS and WhatsApp conversations are probably the most important and difficult things to transfer from an ecosystem to the other... for the rest you can still recreate it or sync it with any cloud service.

                                      If that can be done easily, I quit... I'm done with Apple and this stupid Siri assistant which is worse than ever, over the past years. Just remove the feature if you can't propose a decent one

                                        My biggest issue when switching to Android is that Android itself does NOT support the CardDAV and CalDAV standard. So if you use iCloud for your contacts and calendar, you either have to use a 3rd party app to sync them to your Android phone, or migrate them to Google services. Really annoying if you want to keep using iCloud.
