Leanzazzy, 08 Mar 2024We need other countries to push the DMA. Japan, where iPhone adoption is rife, seems ready to follow and will be starting off with opening up iOS to third party app stores.

One thing I hope that will happen is for Apple to decouple Safari from iOS, and allow it to be updateable independently, allowing older iOS devices to still get an updated browser, even if they are not getting the latest iOS version anymore. This is crucial for security. And this is also why I like Android. I can have a phone with Android 10 or 11, and still have up to date browser.
