They manufacture chip wafers using scanners manufactured by ASML. ASML manufacturing their lithography equipment using technologies from all over the world. But suddenly, when Russia and China shared a lot of crucial technology with ASML, USA disallowed them to sell final product to Russia and China. It's called stealing.
And no. TSMC do not have factories around the world. Only on Taiwan island.

There are a lot of large Chinese manufacturers that will instantly replace Apple on the market. Growing demand would require increase in production. Increase in production would require more labor force.

I'm not from China but a neutral observer. US has shown her insecurity by banning thousands of China entities. BTW, insecure is an adjective, not a tense.

Most mainstream chip are designed by US Companies (Intel, AMD, Snapdragon, Apple Bionic, Nvidia, Texas Instrument, Micron, etc.)
The korean (Samsung Foundries) and taiwan (TSMC) only help to mass produce it with efficient cost.
So, even without the helps of those countries, the US technically could still produce it in the US through domestic semiconductor factory.

In the end china is just end emerging market with fragile economy like the rest of asian countries after centuries of colonization and exploitation by the west. But give them some years and we will probably see actual competition the market.

Other countries should just see the move as a right push to decouple the chip tech. Like any chip with US proprietary tech mean it can be easily use by NSA's Prism to collect and manipulate.
