Sony Xperia 1 VI price leaks

27 April 2024
It won't be cheap, but it might be cheaper in at least one market.

Anonymous, 27 Apr 2024You misspelled Xiaomi. I don't think Xiaomi gives 2 years of support to their flagship devices. Cope

Like I said before, I'd be surprised if Sony can maintain the current Xperia 1 Mk5's RRP of $1,399 despite the newer and more expensive hardware. Even Samsung can't get away from it. Here in Malaysia, the previous S23 Ultra 256GB sold for MYR 5,799 (~$ 1,215). Now, the current S24 Ultra 256GB sold for MYR 6,399 (~$1, 341). Guess how much the Xperia 1 Mk5 sold here? MYR 6,499. That is only MYR 100 less than the Sony. It's an easy no brainer for me to take the Sony all along.

Super mobile but we could have little low price in future. Hope all like Sonny mobile but prices higher than usual mobile. If Sonny mobile comes all will be buying it due it's standard.

I bet here in Romania the 1 VI at launch will be just as expensive as a Sony a6700 camera in typical Sony fashion.

Does Sony really think they can charge that with 2 months of updates... they barely make 2 phones a year and cant even support them.

                  discontinuing the legacy😭

You can bet I have my eyes set of this one. Upgrading from LG G8x is no joke... you gotta get the formula right.
                    Let's see...

Personally, I don't mind giving up the 4K display.
Instead of 6.xx amount of megapixels, the phone will probably work on 4~ MP's, giving it battery and performance boost, however little it may be.
I think a 1.5K or 2K display is the best bet.

A step in the right direction for them, common sony an improvement in auto mode and longer updates and this will be the most complete android phone ( hardware wise )

Considering the garbage version of Android that runs on Xperias AND the appalling long term support Sony gives them (2 years WITH LUCK), This is still several hundred euros overpriced.

Old screen without LTPO was more expensive than any current QHD.
Price increase of using 8g3 and ufs4.0 is countered.
                                    I was expecting same price.
