The "Alpha" Of the A has fallen.
I would overly expect that the next Pixel A or Galaxy A or any "A" Type of a smartphone add some more hardware features and focuses more on the software support.
Sad to see this to follow the Apple way.

Let see if I have this right.....I loan Google at least $500.00 of my money for a week and don't get squat in return. No interest, no phone, plus I pay MSRP? Uh, no. No product, no money. Especially an untested product.

Slightly better screen, 256GB option and longer software support... small changes from 7a but nice to see. Not sure it's worth the money compared to 7a at current prices though.
And you might as well buy the regular Pixel 8 if you have the money for 8a - i think this phone will flop.

I'd buy a pixel if it would have been more sustainable and repairable, and i would directly install graphene OS on it straight from the get go, with probably 7 years of support, is a no brainer

I don't understand companies like Google, Sony and Motorola who's smartphone sales are basically nonexistent (they're all being beaten by Transsion) but yet they keep releasing overpriced garbage.
You're not Apple or Samsung. You don't have the fanbase to exploit. You have to build up a large fanbase first, then you can try selling them BS. Not the other way round.
