Sharp selling new phones only in Japan primarily through carriers, so you can pay a small fortune to get an unlocked new R9 imported if you have the budget.

The previous models had processors that were so pointlessly powerful that users could not handle them, and the prices soared abnormally high and did not sell at all. This level of processor is sufficient.

I'm liking the designs. Just the right amount flair. Kinda why I also like Sony's no BS Xperia looks.
Sharp should really go full international though as this Aquos line are still a resellers' import in my country Malaysia.

R9 looks good. They fell short with no telephoto but 7+ Gen 3 and 240hz refresh rate makes up for that.

Sharp makes excellent phones. They're no inferior to Sony, except in popularity. I've used a few of their flagship phones, and they left me impressed for the most part. It's unfortunate that these phones don't usually launch in foreign markets.

Also,not to announce the pro model now due to the exchange rate.
If remove the defective proprietary display and leica license, it should be much cheaper.
