Motorola offer no updates at all for there smartphones. If one does buy this phone then don't expect to get an upgrade to Android 15 at all. For very long term support you would want to buy the Galaxy S24 series. Samsung is supporting for 7 years.

    Anonymous, 12 May 2024I have the s22plus why do you say that? I upgraded from the S21 Ultra to the S22 Ultra and the battery run time time per charge cycle really was very terrible. Didn't last me all day. I needed to carry around a brick battery in my pocket just to make ot through an entire day. I upgraded to the S23 Ultra and even the S24 Ultra and they both have way way way better battery run times per charge cycle.

      The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 CPU completely obsolete by today's standards. Motorola should be using the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU like you get with the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

          So basically a 2023 version with an OLED, faster charging+wireless charging, and more base RAM, all at the same price. Nice to see Motorola keep on making good midrangers.

          Also cool to see the stylus getting an improvement. I have the 2022 and the stylus is terrible; you're nearly better off using your fingers.

          As usual, wait a few months for when this phone is on sale for $250-$300.

                      How come Moto never sells the Stylus series outside the USA?
                      I'm sure this phone would sell like hot cakes in the Middle east and Asian regions

                          Why have they walked away from the FM Radio? Otherwise all the other improvements over the predecessor model are pretty great.

                            I gave it a go, I regretted it, there are so many driver bugs that they even corrupt web pages and you have to manually disable hardware acceleration. Snapdragon is the only one with decent drivers. period

                                  If I were to design this phone to compete with S Ultra:
                                  1- Rename it into "Moto Pen/Write/Paper/Memo/Draw". ("Stylus" is just old fashioned)
                                  2- Widen the aspect ratio to 19.5:9 - 19.3:9
                                  3- Move the Sim tray to the Top/Bottom & make the microSD Hybrid (not dedicated)
                                  4- Sell standalone note-taking accessories
                                  5- Give it a dual-tone cute Pink/Violet/Gold/Mint color option for the ladies (no ugly gradients or patterns)
                                  6- Make it a glossy glass back with a matte camera island + non-glossy satin-look flat plastic frame.
                                  7- Transform the power button into a two-mode alert slider that can also be pressed to act as a power button. (Inner orange/red accent color)
                                  8- Give it a boxier flat frame with hard edges on the front & rounded edges on the back
                                  9- Make all the buttons wider like on the flat sided iPhones
                                  10- Keep the low-curvature low-rounded corners
                                  11- Add Ready-For-6 support to compete with Samsung Dex
                                  12- make it 1/2 - 1/3 the price of the S25 Ultra
                                  13- Release it globally

                                  This is how Motorola can compete with the S25 Ultra.

                                    This is the only device out there with both modern & practical-legacy features:
                                    - Stylus
                                    - Wireless Charging
                                    - microSD
                                    - Headphone Jack

                                    All while retaining the modern HRR OLED, Stereo speakers, 4nm chip & symmetrical bezels that you'd expect from a modern phone. A truly disruptive formula, Good job Motorola!
