I don't understand why Motorola don't sell Stylus models outside North America. Nothing after g PRO which I use for 3+ years...

Kangal, 10 May 2024I'm pretty sure it is a Capacitive Pen. But it's ... moreUnfortunately if they did what you suggested: "It would've been much better if they managed to spring forward to the QC 7g2+ instead."
The immediate side effects would be loss of headphone jack and microSD card. It's been noted over past 5 years that an upgrade to a decent chipset means those 2 important features are lost.

6g1 is not a solid processor for anything classified as mid ranger. It falls short of a 778g, a 4 year old midrange processor. It's a "solid entry level" processor at best.

They just reused same 6 gen 1 chip how's this acceptable? This chipset is literally worse than the ancient 778g how do they still tolerate this is beyond comprehension

Anyways this would be an abysmal phone if it had bloatware. I'm yet to see a decent set of phones from Lenovo, at least since the beginning of this year.

As an avid One UI user, that has used the Samsung Note 6 up the Samsung Note 20 Ultra, what's most important to me at the moment is to know how well the Moto G Stylus 5G (2024) 's software is compared to the last Samsung Note Series? Is it worth getting for the stylus features - or nothing worth considering?

Anonymous, 10 May 2024You do not want 6g1, but you wanted 7sg2 ? Both are sam... more7s Gen 2 offers 40-50K more in AnTuTu 10 (540/550K v. 590/600K) It also offers a better GPU but just about a hair in 3DMark Wild Life (3030 vs 2670). It also uses less watts (7W vs 5) and can handle faster and more RAM.

Even Snapdragon 782 would be so muc... moreToo many restrictions and protectionism makes US market the most limited in the world in terms of offer's choices for the consumers. Everything is done in a manner to keep them trapped in Apple / Samsung bubble.

I'm pretty sure it is a Capacitive Pen. But it's much better than the $20 stylus you buy online from China. And it has a Dedicated Silo and Software too. Talking about software, Motorola's software is pretty great, the only problem is their slow updates for the first year, and then lack of updates after that. If they had a fast update schedule and kept it for at least 4 years, then it would be enough, at least in a practical sense, and competitive against Samsung, Pixel, iPhone, etc etc.

The QC 6g1 is a solid processor for US $300 (or less), so the older device that is discounted to $250 looks to be good value. But at the $400 mark for this model it falls a little short. It would've been much better if they managed to spring forward to the QC 7g2+ instead.

The phone has been upgraded in every little aspect too. Nice.

But there is one major downgrade: the screen. The older screen is (more expensive) actually superior. Better efficiency and accuracy. Also it was relatively flat, whereas this phone is now downgraded to a curved display.

So overall, this is another mixed device. So close yet so far. Motorola knows what they are doing, and it's not for the consumer. They're milking everything they can.
