Nokia is trying hard to make people interested but they fail all the time and loose money every quarter.

rromerof, 18 Jul 2013What it is really sad is that you need 8 cores for avoiding lag.Whats really sad is that the 8 cores has nothing to do with lad and fanboys have such delicate egos they have to bash wp8 so many cores. WinPhone8 runs smoother on single core phones that Android does on quad core. I can only imagine the 1020 flies and uses the cores for mostly camera us.

Window phone is Running because of Nokia. No home screen wallpaper, no file manager,no application manager no opera mini or opera mobile, lack of applications, etc etc...Even Symbian os better than window.

I certainly agree with the st*pidity of putting 1080p on phone. I can barely read the text and the icons are super tiny. that kind of screen would be perpect on something larger like tablet or tv. absolutely for a phone..
I dont know why samsung fanboys are always defending that crappy screen.

"Lumia 1020 is easily the most exciting Windows Phone device released till date." I think this is going to be the case with every new flagship. Companies like to go from strength to strength, don't you think?

I remember both the lumia 900 and the 920 were reported as sold out during their release. :-) . And they underperformed terribly in the market. I wonder if there would be any difference now.

Lumia 1020 looks like a Batmobile and just like a Batmobile has less sales, only cool people have one, great build quality, has special 41 mp camera functions, it's indestructible, has cool expensive accesories (4,990 euro Lehmann LA300 surveillance drone), runs smooth and fast.
Some people would like a DSLR-like quality camera in a phone and for this price, 2 stereo rich recording microphones that can record whispers and very loud music at concerts, parties, club, car and motorcycle engine sounds etc.
Specs, design, display, are better than the iphone and all 1080p androids. Why? Because they received multiple awards for the design. Dual core CPU runs faster and smoother on WP than quad core on Android's java virtual machine.
Display is PureMotion, it scrools faster than other phones. At 4.5 inch 1080p resolution display has only one advantage over 720p (you can't see the pixels if you look very very close and who looks that close in a phone), but 1080p has many disadvantages:
-Less battery life
-Half FPS in games
-2 times slower UI because CPU and GPU have to handle double the number of pixels (2,073,600 pixels in 1080p and 983,040 pixels in 768p)
-Smaller text, smaller icons makes eyes fatigue.
