Nokia Lumia 1020 off to a great start, already sold out at AT&T

18 July, 2013
It seems there is quite a demand for the device as it is currently out of stock and on backorder at AT&T.

AnonD-166339, 18 Jul 2013Heard of Jellybean? lag is impossible with forced 60hZ ani... moreYes I heard of Jellybean.
I do have 2 JB devices (phone and tablet).
Guess what, they do lag as hell. Lag all the time. Even contact list scroll lag, drop frames everywhere. It’s a LagDroid. Not by accident, it is by feature – Dalvik JVM. It will lag forever because of Dalvik JVM.

Hey genius, specs don't say everything. It's like saying a small painting is always worse than a large painting. Guess what, Mona Lisa ain't an acre big and it's still popular.

Get over your douchebag superiority complex and go back to wherever you came from.

All platforms have their ups and downs and feel best in their own environment. Deal with it.

Can they even set their own personalized SMS tune and email yet?
Or is that a security risk too?

It should be snappy, it doesn't do much.

I understand why some people were saying stock was low and so on. Ok lets assume stock was low, can you blame them? You guys are the same people saying the price was too high, so don't you think those guys made the price high on purpose and didn't expect that they would get the demand they are getting. No matter how you put it this seems to bet a great sign.

Sorry but CLR on Windows Phone is far better than JVM on android!

And yes, camera matters a lot. You can do other things on any other phone. But if you want to keep your memories, adventures, travels etc in visual form you need a good camera always in your pocket.

yay... at&T just sold out to ...hmmm, 100 different tech companies who want to review it, someone's going to do a break test, a company will submerge it in liquids, probably 3 for them... 4 will wonder if it will blend, another 1000 will be used as in house purchase demo and another 1000 at&t will purchase for training department, safe to say that every phone will get about 5000- sales by default before it gets to the actual consumer to make a difference? I'm a total 808 Pureview pro fan boy, but sold out means nothing without knowing the total prepared for.

"Of course, this doesn't really say how many devices were ordered and the number could be REALLY SMALL for all we know. AT&T may have just ordered FEW DEVICES and were caught off guard by the demand for the phone."

I dont know, but this sounds too bias. When its Nokia or other phones (apart from Samsung and Iphone) are doing great, they'll just simply pull this arguement out. Cmon! Give credit to where its due!

Yeah and the initial stock was 10-15 units because Nobody would stock more of this crappy device. Camera isn't everything but it's the only thing nokia knows how to do better than the competition...The rest(specs, design, display, everything) is worse than even the iphone...let alone new android flagships. Get over it nokia fanboys. Even The One which is nthe slowest selling android flagship is selling more than nokia's entire line-up of lumia devices. Wp is a fail. Lumai is even a bigger fail bvecause nokia tries to convince people Camera is everything...

I bet they put 10 phones and they all sold out and now WP fanboys want to make a big fuss about it.
So what 10 phones have been sold out?
Let those 10 people who bought it suffer from constant lagging and stutters, bugs. Although I'm sure those 10 who bought those 10 phones are Nokia employees for sure to make a cheap ad.
