Z, 19 Jul 2013still have Symbian users out there? I thought they're alrea... moreAround 100 million Symbian users out there accounting for 8% of mobile data traffic (still more than WP): http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/flow/item/17943_A_StatCounter_reminder_about_l.php

Thanks Nokia! I still get updates for my N8 around once a month. If Microsoft could show the same dedication for WP, the Lumia range would look much better...

I still don't understand why Symbian is dying, it works fine, no troubles at all .
The market rules the systems, and not which system works the best.

they killed an os which could have delivered miracles with less hardware needs like ram and space
we are with you symbian you will live in our hearts
even if nokia kills you we will keep you alive with our 808 and n8 and other trusty n series devices

Its really impressive how nokia's still releasing updates for symbian phones. I'm still getting frequent updates on my old C7, much more than I get on my android phone. A big disadvantage for android phones is that they're mostly limited to one major update and thats it.

I managed to update my maps last night when I checked for the new version of maps from Nokia. I use a 701 and still love Symbian for its simplicity and ease in everyday usage. At least for the last 10 years of Nokia phones, Symbian satisfied my needs. And till 2016 when Nokia promised to deliver updates at least for the last Nokia models which run Symbian Belle, I will not let go Symbian. During the last few years, I tried to use iOS and Android, and recently I bought a WP powered Lumia 920, but I never forgot to take also my trusty Symbian powered Nokia with me as a back up when I tried somehow to use the above mentioned OS. Too bad and too sad the Symbian was pulled to a dead end road. Nokia will never be the same, no matter what OS they would choose to put in their phones.

Symbian refuses to die. Why Nokia did you have to kill the most advanced mobile operating system that has become your bread and butter throughout the years?
