Yea I kinda agree with some comments. When months ago we were so hyped about how awesome this phone will be with rumored specs we were ready. We waited for Moto to show us what they are made of but its kinda a let down if you ask me. They are basically at the bottom of the phone market, and you release a mid range phone when its the year for phones to become faster than most computers? You have the potential to be one of the best but you basically downgraded a little in specs. I hope for the best but in my eyes and with some very nice phones with great specs in the past, I don't see going anywhere.

The AnTuTu score stands at around 18-19k and 7100 in 3DMark Ice Storm Extreme tests. The scores are impressive, perhaps a bit too impressive. It's curious how the X manages to score higher than the Nexus 4 (approximately 14k and 5.8k, respectively) despite having two few CPU cores and identical GPU (Nexus 4 only has a slightly higher resolution display). Regardless of that, for what will supposedly be a mid-range device, the specs of the Motorola X are quite impressive."

What if the processor is 1.7 GHz dual core snapdragon 600 because this phone scored higher then nexus 4 which is a quad core 1.5GHz s4 pro ! It makes sense if the price is not more then 400$ then this will be mine :D

Disappointing, mediocre specs. This thing will lag like something that lags pretty bad.

Unfortunately, Antutu benchmark is not reliable, so results are not correct. I tested some other brand phones (two of a kind with same settings out of the box) and the result was different by 15 percent.

Nice looking phone. For a mid ranger specs are impressive. I like

It seems that everyone is spoiled with quad-core processor and 1080p display. Most people don't even know the negative impact of these specifications. There's no clear advantage of 1080p on mobile display. The sharpness of 720p and 1080p are almost the same on 4-5" screen. Of course you can brag about high pixel density, but who cares if you have 9000ppi?

I have a sneaking suspicion they have done something new to the software part of the phone. Streamlined it to the point it rivals the nexus 4 even when its 2 cores vs 4 cores... making the x-phone exclusive somehow.

Wasn't the camera in this phone supposed to be some sort of "game changer"? We'll see... it's not just bigger pixels like in HTC's Ultrapixel stuff, that much I know.

If screen is 4.7", then the device is roughly 130 x 65 mm, which is quite compact given the screen size. In recent photos, the back seems quite a lot thicker in the middle. Maybe they moved the logic board behind to improve battery capacity.

Why is everyone obsessed with flagship specs, powerful chip, 1080p display and so on and so on...? It's not gonna make huge differences whether if you have an original Ferrari or Prius with a Ferrari body when you're only using it for daily activities inside the city.
If this so-called mid phone has more value to its price then it's definitely better than any flagship. Period. Luckily they don't make it with IP57-58 certification.

Looks like a fine mid end. It's funny how people expected something ultra great. HOWEVER, rumor is, since the specs are so much below the Nexus 4, which was released last year, this phone may be priced at ~200$ - that's the only thing that would work if they wanted to reclaim a part of their previous market share.
In that case it's really weird that it's not marketed internationally, but locally in the US where prices matter the least as phones are carrier subsidized.
The low price is almost guaranteed though, as they used the almost 2 year old dual core Snapdragon S4, and quad core S4s are super cheap these days - only a few bucks more per unit (because every phone uses the newer Spandragon 600 or 800 now).
