Jbird is just another badass Samsung fanboy, i think most of us know this. Let's move on. He said Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is better than Nokia Lumia 1020 along with saying Android is better than Windows Phone 8 OS. Let me clear some points, Nokia Lumia 1020 is reviewed yet but Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom have been reviewed already. S4 Zoom just offers an optical zoom which when protrudes during video recording, makes a lot of sound and that sounds gets captured. It also heats up very quickly and battery drains after 160 shots has been taken. It takes over saturated pictures in day light which by no means look real, shot to shot with flash takes a lot of time, the camera interface is totally rubbish, it struggles to focus in low light, the sound recorded in the videos are totally a let down, shadows appears at low light and the noise can be seen even at ISO 100 and it has the worst OS of all time which is Android, due to which the S4 Zoom lags. Even my Nikon S6300 takes better pictures than Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom! When the pictures taken with Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom and my wife's Nokia 808 are compared side by side, the pictures that are taken with Nokia 808 looks more real with very less noise than that of Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom. Even the first generation PureView camera on Nokia 808 and Nikon Coolpix S6300, beats the heck out Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom in terms of picture quality and sound quality. Android is written in Java VM due to which it lags and Google Maps totally sucks! While WP8 OS doesn't have as many features as in Android, the OS doesn't lag even in the cheap Lumia 520 and Microsoft is pumping efforts to WP8 OS and because of it, there's no crap apps in WP8 market place and it's going to be the perfect OS. 75 % people like stock OS and don't know what is rooting, custom ROM etc., WP8 is simple and real OS. It will soon become fully functional and the best OS. Peace out!

AnonD-147377, 23 Jul 2013When ever you have a real chance to use Android other than ... moreAndroid is more sluggish than WP8 because Android is running on a Java Virtual Machine which all computer tech experts know is much much slower than the Common Language Runtime of Windows Phone. Android is the one that is so ancient. Android was initially not meant to be a touchscreen OS but rather a competitor for Blackberry. But when Apple introduced the touchscreen revolution, Google changed the design of Android. It designed and made them work as a touchscreen OS but not changing the core and framework which still uses Java that's why it's laggy compared to the other much modern OSes like iOS and WP8.

It's the fundamental of every invention. It's similar to other hardware components like the screen being manufactured by other companies. Nokia's AMOLED screens are manufactured by Samsung but you what's ironic? None of Samsung's SuperAMOLED can match the high contrast and excellent sunlight legibility of Nokia 808's AMOLED screen.

I find it funny that people keep slagging Nokia's Window Phone handsets for lower spec. In real world use, the truth is that Android is one of the worst OS out there in term of managing resource and using its hardware.

Most of the slaggers have never even used the two OS side-by-side. Most of my friends are also like this. When I run the Galaxy S3 and Lumia 800 (yes, older handsets), the truth is undeniable.

My Galaxy S3 with duo core process visibly lags behind my Nokia Lumia 800 with less RAm and older single core process. I won't even bring my iPhone 5 into this conversation because it's even faster.

Do your research and you''ll find out that most Android versions struggle to even handle basic function as catching when you do things like kinetic scrolling.

Don't believe me? Try to do scrolling for the first time on your Android phone after you have 3-4 apps loaded. The first time you do this, you'll notice 1-2 sec delay.

No such thing on Window or iOS. Those two really understand how to optimize their hardware. You can slag on Microsoft all you want, but you can't deny their mastery of creating OS.

The only thing Android has over Window Phone at this point is larger APP ecosystem...although I also say that most of these APPs are 905 craps (yep, they rhyme).

It has 2011 spec... moreIf you think that Nokia only ordered the camera hardware from other manufacturers and put them straight into the phone, then you are really ignorant. Carl Zeiss just supplied the lens and it's actually Sony that manufactured the sensor. But it's Nokia that did the rest of the work from designing the sensor (before it even made its way to manufacturing) to configuring the hardware and software used in this camera. If it's so easy to design a mobile camera that can produce a DSLR-grade results, Samsung must have done that already and did not release a ridiculously thick and heavy point-and-phone/phone hybrid that is the SGS4 Zoom.
