rumors will kill the phone n its consumers i guess... a lot of ppl want 32gb as a standard storage device... how hard is it for samsung to deliver it?? 16 gb z seriously junk in todays android smartphones... atleast the flagships should be launched in 32 n 64 gb versions only... rest mid ranged devices should get 16 gb... the companies says they listen to their customers but i think they r not... unless they launch a phone wid higher storage, whatever octacore or decacore cpu they put in is not worth n yeah memory card extension is also of no use as most apps cant be moved to sd card n moreover half of memory z been eaten by phone softwares itself... another thing z to look into battery performance... so far note 2 has one of the best battery performance but after sometimes the performance falls... companies should sort out these problems...

No point in improving cpu/gpu/ram specs. It still lags.
Scroll your android phones slowly... you can actually see the frames goes by.. The UI barely follow your touch. It feels like "android".. not real at all. Use iphone or nokia wp phones. You will notice the difference at once.. UI follows your finger and it feels natural.. it feels like your actually interacting with the UI. This is the lag most people talk about.. and android fanboys denying it fiercely.. or blinded not knowing.
Samsung tried very hard to hide it via touchwiz and custom apps. But once you use other third party apps, it starts to show.
So in the end.. cpu/gpu/ram does not matter much.. as it goes from note 2 to note3. Most importantly it has to have is STORAGE!! 32/64/128. NO MORE 16gb crap.

I think Sony Xperia X Ultra will be the competitor, even you don't think It could match with the 3GB RAM and all but 2GB is still ok. True you cant escape from lag from android and TU have touch recognition with everything.

I can't wait for the Note 3! I'm on Nexus vanilla android right now and yes there still lags!
But what's more important to me are productive features like the multi-window, the s-pen etc in a 5+ inch amoled screen, also make it sturdy but very light plastic!
Are there phablets out there to beat the Note with its superb multitasking features and writing recognition?
The lags don't bother me much, anyone is used to the laggy PC but its just big and so are the tablets.
Note is the only replacement out there for me. Any competition?

Ok this is what they need to do to make an almost perfect phone, let me know what you think.
1. A 6' Super Amoled or True HD IPS plus LCD.
2. Snapdragon 800 clocked at 2.3 GHz with 3 GB RAM
3. 13 MP camera with Xenon flash
4. 32 or 64 GB of internal storage
5. 3600 - 4000 nah battery, God please make that come true
6. Bigger and even louder speaker on the back
7. Availability on all carriers for a decent contract price.

yes.... agree with you.
The lag is not 100% come from google core os backbone code architecture.
it is the customizeable "U.I" like "TouchWIZ" has contribute to the lag after certain period of usage due to bad memory mapping allocation and also poor texture optimization.ist not google "FAULT"
"TouchWIZ" is the main culprit and the main reason
on the lag experience since galaxy S1 era(2010) till
now 2013
"ANANDTECH" already mention this "many many many time" to educate smartphone user to understand why "LAG" happen.
Even pc with single core+512mb ddr3 run window 7 like
smooth butter on desktop environment.

Where is 64gb?, 29 Jul 2013People are too concentrated to solve android lag and ineffi... moreagree, that's why custom rom is better for us. google need to rewrite the whole android OS with other coding than using JVM but it could make it incompatible with all of the application in the playstore.
even my low end lumia 520 is faster than my s2 with higher specs.

I read elsewhere that the three screen sizes was debunked and the three codes were just meant to represent an International version and two other variants. Not three different screen sizes.
