Well IMO Blackberry should half their prices, improve their UI by adding widgets on the home screen & lastly attract more developers for apps then they'll stay in this game much longer. Other than that they're nose-diving in2 the Ericsson-Philips-Palm direction of non-existence, DOOM!

              RIP soon, Blackberry.

              If you hoping to form a partnership then you should have some sort of specialty in your product to attract other manufacturers. Unfortunately none. Why not try in China, they might be interested?

              Nah, no other leading manufacturers will be interested in Blackberry OS. They are pretty comfortable with the current leading platforms with brighter future. Anyway goodluck. :)

                And all those strong names are struggling to survive (Not Apple though, those rob your pockets and are for a long time one of the most valuable companies of the world). Motorola yeah, what a big flop from Google by leaving Europe behind with Moto X. Nokia is struggling with Windows and BlackBerry is what you see on the news. So Asian companies are here to stay and are the ones who are evolving with mobile technology and thank god they exist (HTC, Sony, Samsung and LG). But others are rising...Huawei is rising, ZTE also and beware because there is a new one rising rapidly, Oppo. I don't see any non-asian mobile brand rising and being honest, the one with more chances to survive these risings is Motorola, if and only if Google, play all the cards right with the rest of the world, if you know what I mean.

                      I think BlackBerry should team up with HTC to make a HiTech QWERTY phones based on Android platform.

                            Abhishek, 13 Aug 2013I certainly believe there is huge potential in BB10. It has... moreI agree that the company still has potential. OS10 is a massive improvement over previous blackberry phones. I use blackberry as my primary phone and also carry a secondary phone which have moved from android to iphone to Windows phone now. I recently had the Z10 then Q10 and again reverted to my bold 9900. OS10 is simply stunning and no doubt gets things done very fast. For a new blackberry user, its a very good phone. For a long time blackberry user, my main concern was the lack of BIS services as are available in OS7 and previous blackberry. OS10 now uses your email account's outgoing server to send emails which has resulted in slower outgoing email. Blackberry needs to do the following in my opinion and can surely start to rise;

                            1. Keep BES and BIS services unchanged and these 2 services in OS10 handsets should be the same as in older handsets as the older service is much more secure and faster.

                            2. Blackberry is known to be a device for professionals/businesses who actually utilize their devices and cannot afford to charge then during the day hence a better battery life for their new phone. Use of AMOLED screens can provide significant improvement to battery times.

                            3. Reduce price. They have lost their market share and people perceive blackberry as old and boring devices, no one is willing to stash out money for them anymore. For sometime, they need to offer quality devices at lower prices. Ideally, having price tags lower than the Galaxy S so that people can start considering a blackberry.

                              Fully agree with your views. I have used all platform but due to mob frenzy i too joined the Samsung Android combo, which is nothing but a Toy, of course they have good features in built. The main problem with Blackberry device is their astronomical prices.If they cut down the cost at least by 30%, surely the sales will pick up some momentum and with that they can build their OS.Unfortunately the top brass are not willing to cut down the cost and prevents a first time user to test the product. Blackberry is meant for professionals, but even that segment is willing to part with that company, like myself, simply for the reason of high cost ownership.Fully agree with your views. It's all about the apps. How can you play games with a qwerty phone. Majority of people who buy smartphone use it to call, SMS , check email, surf and most important of all and which is very hard to do on a blackberry phone, play games! Windows phone aka nokia will be next if their apps do not improve!
