Abhishek, 13 Aug 2013I certainly believe there is huge potential in BB10. It has... moreThey should have improve upon BB OS7.. then being an android wannabee.

Their phones used to have good security and long battery endurance.

Now they lost both those.. and the release of the touch screen before the qwerty ones is the final blow.

I certainly believe there is huge potential in BB10. It has not been marketed well and unfortunately people want to see it dead!!! BlackBerry should trust itself more than anything and be able to sell its devices on the basis of a good platform.

the acquisition needs to be done properly else remember the PALM WebOS and HP fiasco ?
i think the company that should acquire blackberry should be Amazon, after all they are running forked out android on their tablets
This shall provide them with a hardware and enterprise entry and BB shall get the access to media and content of amazon

If I was in BB CEO position, I would have made this Z10, Q10 and Q5 phone available for half of their price and made sure those products are sold to people and people getting used to this new OS which I personally happy with the OS and its performance but with out consumer even having apps doesn't make sense man...instead of selling the company try to sell you products and earn back your BB old mates and through them get new members to BB family and start expanding your app store on the backyard, surely you will be rise to a strong position as soon as possible. try to reach your product to people as soon as possible.

BlackBerry, Blackberry you know its coming, coming to straight to you after symbian, its not too late, lower your mobile price that make sense, am a consumer who walks into store and looking for mobile, sales rep will throw at me a quad core phone with all latest hardware put to gather and will give it to me for 500-600$ but you just with old history BB asking for same price for half the hardware..which really doesn't make sense, Kindly make your product reach to consumer first and then try to make your deals later.

Google should buy black berry for the patent like they did Motorola.

AnonD-132351, 13 Aug 2013Hope apple buys them :D Apple buying Blackberry would be a great idea. BB services are still the best and most reliable. Just their phones and software sucks.

Their patents and business security services would be a great addition for apple to fight for a big presence in the business and government space. The US President famously carried a BB for a reason.

Pity - Blackberry is the safest mobile to use on the market today. My Z10 is fine, and necessary in business because of the security problems with other mobiles. It is bulldust you need an ecosystem with thousands of Apps because there is the 95/5 rule. That is 5% of the apps have 95% of the market share, and the rest are rubbish games for morons. Android is full of spyware and malware as a consequence of its open system. No security conscious business should allow Android mobiles.

Company survival cannot depend on a single profitable product like Apple inc. Samsung will win eventually in every facet of smartphone business because there is huge lines of business from processor to TV and smartphone unlike Apple try to be a consumer product giant.

Anonymous , 13 Aug 2013go to alcatel or philips Alcatel and Philips are like the Western counterpart of Huawei and ZTE. We need more bigger names like Nokia, Apple, Motorola and Blackberry to compete with Asian companies like Samsung, LG, HTC, Sony.

Just the first attempt at the touchscreen smartphone business and Blackberry already gives up. They should take notice of Nokia. Even if they keep flopping for two years in a row now they still keep going. And Nokia's efforts and dedication will soon pay off. Don't lose hope.
