Let suppose android will become a "close" os like wp or ios available only for Motorola devices.
Android is google TM with part developped under GNU PL.
What is Samsung or other company who sell android smartfones without Android Google Trademark. Nothing. Samsung is prudent in developping his own os.

You guys are just kidding.
The actual reason is, 90% of revenue of android is goes to Samsung only. The actual manufacturer GOOGLE gets just 10% only. To solve this problem Google BOUGHT MOTOROLA mobility.
And last year Google had promised that android will be open source for next 5 year's. If android becomes closed one means Samsung who enjoys 90% will lose.
That's why Samsung from now itself tries to rescue itself....
One more thing, Samsung will not drop WINDOWS MOBILE. Because the future is Windows..... They are not fool to lose the revenue....

yall think sammy is just gonna get up one day and say we gonna stop making android phone... silly ppl.... what they gonna do is have exclusive features on tizen while they still keep up with the competition on android.... so they will be making phones for 2 os and 3 is windows is counted.... but on tizen am expecting to see everything they cant do on android with a 60fps or even 120fps of smoothness throughout the whole phone... prolly not this year or next year but in years to come...

Can't they just co... moreSamsung is the main seller of android phones, so basically what the other poster meant was that if Tizen takes off and Samsung move away from android then android will possibly go down unless everyone stays with android but with another manufacturer. The other side is that Tizen fails and samsung along with it if it cant compete with iOS and Android.
