Overpriced, mediocre hardware spec, crap software => recipe for failure. BB will still have future if they are willing to give up their OS then make Android and WP phone. Their hardware design is not bad, especially those with real leather back.

Here what should happen.
Google should buy out Blackberry, give them the exclusive rights to build Nexus devices, both Smartphones & Tablets, incorporate alot of Blackberry OS features into android and you be onto a winner
Blackberry won't be in the red anymore.
I would buy a Blackberry Nexus Smartphone in a heartbeat if it was ever to happen.

High prices, lack of support, unreliability destroyed the company. They should listen to the consumers and give them what they need. When BB z10 was launched out didn't even support the top 3 apps Skype, viber and what's app. Sowhat do you expect BB? Make more apps, reduce the cost, include menu and back buttons in the new OS.

I feel very sorry for BB. They made great devices once and even now Z10, Q10 and BB10 OS are great.
The problem with them is, they took lot of time to come out that Inertia.

I love Blackberry even though i dont own one. I used one for some weeks and enjoyed. Hope they will survive and keep making products. Variety in smart phone market is a good thing than monopoly.

They should focusing on messenger devices instead.
Q10 + bigger screen + Phone/hangup key + top notch professional email system on top of the OS + superior security where all companies will rely on.
Where did this CEO lead them to? an iphone wannabe?
BBRY deserves to tank.

i love BB, i love the design, the keypad, their system if notifications, stong battery life, simple ways of communication thru email,im, sms everything, signal is also strong compared to other devices, i live my bb 9320, the hotspot is so reliable, i hope BB can survive coz i wont change my brand of phones
the only problem for BB is their high pricing of products, i love the q5 but its just pricey, if they can cut their price many people will buy BB products

This is normal to happen because BlackBerry never listen to me or to us. They will face the same what Nokia face.

Anonymous, 21 Sep 2013To assist with RIM'S cost cutting, we trust the CEO and oth... moreThey could do it to set a good example for the company moral but still its so small when the persons involved are so few. The losses are almost 1 thousand million dollars in ONE QUARTER, what good does it do to take 1 million from the CEO each year, which equals to only $250,000 a quarter? Cutting 4500 jobs on the other hand, now we are talking savings, even if they earn less than $100,000 each their big numbers make the savings huge. 4500 x $50,000 is 225 millions a year, almost 60 million each quarter, compared to the $250,000 saved on the CEOs compensation.
Its stupid to take a lot from a few instead of taking a little from everyone.

At least they still have my respect. They have the guts to invent new OS and design if you want to compare with Apple.... pffttt.... 5s and 5c really suck! No point of upgrading.

cut down the price not the jobs. i think they should make more phones in an entry level, just to survive! they cant compete in this market today. z30 will also go down. lets admit it less apps, less market!

To assist with RIM'S cost cutting, we trust the CEO and other senior hangerson will all take a significant cut in salary and other perks and bonuses.
They'll probabaly milk this sinking company for all they can.
