any piece of electronics subjected to stress like the one shown in the picture, is going to have its specs changed at least 50%. I am not talking about the screen but the chips.

If the motherboard and the chips are not flexible and only a curved screen will be introduced, it is nothing new: I think Google already released a phone with somewhat curved screen.

    Stop BSing people shamesung dudes.

Flexible screens seem nice and gimmicky, but lithium-ion batteries don't react well to being twisted and shaped, neither do most silicon circuit boards.

You are not a very creative thinker. I can think of dozens of ways to use a flexible screen without flexible internals. There is already a mock up video of a concept that uses a roll up screen. You can have a phone the size of a large pen, than pulls a rolled up screen out to give you a tablet sized screen in a small package.

Be more creative! Think outside the box

Who needs flexible phones anyway? It just wear off and break easily if you bend it all the time.
Board, procie, ram all of those internals are bendable too? Samsung go home you're drunk.

I know that this is innovation but what is exactly the point of creating this phone? They already have the Galaxy S4 & they just launched the Note 3. Also they're planing to release their rumored "F" series soon. The screen will be flexible but not the actual phone. They already have a lot of phones in the market! Why don't they just create a phone that has all the great features as their flagship?! The Galaxy line is already congested, somehow it's already confusing to most of the average consumers.

If you have Seen the Demo/Prototype that Samsung put up @ CES last year then you wont ask this questions.

Once we have a Flexible Screen, it means one end of the device can house all the Silicon (need not be flexible) and rest of the device will be nothing but screen, bend, fold, roll kind of

Not necessarily such things will change the world but if the R & D is done right and they pick up the right use cases(usability) then such devices can be the next generation computing devices for sure...but it all takes time.

Once Apple Jumps into this they will learn what not to do from others and then innovate something out of this world and take all our money again...

Just like mad rush over specs by ppl, who don't know which apps work with quad cores...there will be millions buying it without knowing what to do with it...

Well considering phones/phablets are moving into the 6" territory these days perhaps flexible screens may provide some comfort for bursting pockets, potentially being foldable/rollable and all. And hopefully stop screen breakage as well.
