BlackBeery would be a good opportunity for Microsoft to further increase its mobile market share. Maybe they could create a more secure and business oriented version of Windows Mobile (possibly with a slightly different gui than the current one that runs on Nokia phones).

BB's downfall was when removing the BB portal from your browsing experience. And not keeping up with technology advances, e.g. have better displays and have better technologies to keep up with the trends. even nokia are starting to come play. they are competing for 3rd place and not for 1st place.

or DellBerry could also be good.

It's amazing how cheap Z10 is here now, I may buy one just for fun. Of course I know it's cheap because it is crap but still, why not? In any case the slashed price signals a desperate move to get rid of money-losing inventory.
On the topic, splitting is probably good, but it will leave the handset division worthless unless it's tied up to the patents division. That's the big difference from Nokia, they could sell the handset division for an ok price even without selling the patents, they only included a 10 year patent right.

BlackBerry has already been doomed... it is high time for BlackBerry to merge with some other company and the launch some real good phones but if they split the company into parts then it'll bring them more profit then present...

i am no fan of blackberry, i actually disliked everything about this company, but feelings aside, we do need this company to exist, it is the only way developers will push new technologies so, it is my own personal belief that we should all hope blackberry to stay in the business, we want new stuff every day, and it is competence and the fight between developers what makes that possible, really hope these guys keep on the battle
