AnonD-168288, 14 Oct 2013That's exactly the problem. They will charge premium price ... more'In real life' people can already sees the SD600 ageing right before their eyes. Try playing Asphalt 8 under full settings and see how much you HTV One lags (especially when drifting you can see how Adreno 320 struggles to maintain frame rate). And with OpenGL ES 3.0 game coming soon you can get the picture why we want the best (SD800/Exynos) that we can get.

This phablet is not worth it the price. HTC need to learn from the disaster that happened with HTC oONE camera and the wonderful PURPLE/PINK camera. The camera just doesn't perform the way it should, gives purple/pink tint as ISO goes so high. They messed up badly with camera sensors.

Time for HTC to learn from its mistakes.

Clearly HTC didn't want Max to be their SD800 flagship. But their flagship better be good or else it is getting gobbled up by Lenovo.

The 4 MP UltraPixel camera and SD600 is just a disaster. Now if HTC wants to sell it, they must price it between 600$ which i know they won't ever.

who want this phone htc is not learning from his outcome s 600 on phablet who will buy for its 4 ultra pixel camera ( without optical stabilisation) with worst performance in sunlight and sometime in night also. The phone will be disaster for company which is in trouble the people will buy more powerfull phablet in this same category for same price tag!!!!! rip htc (not quietly brilliant). expecting good result for htc but now noooooooo

For that price people can buy any of the other flagships and better much better off on all aspects. This is DOA product unless they sell it for like 150 USD less than the competition's leading flagships. Knowing HTC that won't be happening.

                            2011, "Best Global Brand"

But after that year, everything went worse, until now.

I'm expecting much from the One Max, but when I looked to the specs, I'm so disappointed.

Well maybe you have another plan to make your new flagship phone, but try to make it "worthed." Don't fall again..

I know you're quality and design are the best!! I've proved it by myself. And I'm very pleased with that. I'm a HTC user.

                            Well, don't give up!

Nice. Finally with an expandable memory SD card :) This phone wins over Galaxy Note 3, design wise. And it has a bigger screen to boot. Dont know what took HTC too long. And the dreadful beats logo is gone too.

Whether that is true or not is not the real issue though. My main concern is that they want to charge the same price for it. If you want to sell an old processor, then cut the price accordingly otherwise people will jusifiably just see it as a rip off.

I'd never get a phone this big but there are some features I'd like to see in the next HTC One ready for when I upgrade from the current one. Micro SD, bigger battery, finger print scanner. Add an updated processor, higher pixel camera, slightly bigger screen but maintaining the current phone size i.e. 4.9" and the next HTC One will be worth upgrading to.

Did beats dump the latest ONE MAX because it just sucks and loses out to the Note 3? Seems legit.

No offence but the best over 5.5" phablet title goes to Sony Xperia Z Ultra. Hands down. Note 3 and now One max or even Lumia 1520 fail (in case of the Nokia, will fail) to make it. The Sony is 'ultra' cool.
