People complaining that it doesn't have a SD800 are crazy. In real world conditions you wouldn't notice any different. It all comes down to software and HTC sense runs flawlessly on a SD600. My Butterfly S that is running a SD600 runs so much smoother than my coworker's Note 3 and that not only has a SD800 it also has 3gb of ram. The S4 and the original HTC One had the same specs but the S4 was a laggy mess.

If it has IPS display and S800 cpu, it is really the king.

swift, 14 Oct 2013HTC i am a massive fan, but now i question why. I have been... morePremium feel is only out of many things which cumulates into a total design. It may feel premium on touch but it's weight, bulk, the sheer size of it are more than enough to spoil the whole design in a single go. So yeah, only specs aren't the only crap things about it . You can add to the list design also. Few more things like this and prople would realise why Samsung is doing good by not running for aluminium and how Note 3 is one of the greatest devices ever.

S600 is too old to be high-end for 2013.

Wake-up button is placed at the top where is the most difficult to assess.

4 MP Ultra Pixel is the poorest performer today in high-end and mid range smartphones.

AnonD-195372, 14 Oct 2013unless its offer with low price than its okay...It is NTD:23900 in Taiwan, around USD:810 .(16G version)

Marc, 14 Oct 2013It looks like HTC has been living under a rock for a couple... morePerhaps HTC is so afraid people would say they upgrade their device too soon, like last year's One X to X+

So, to satisfy distinguished fans they guatanteed to stick with crappy 4uP and S600 this year... Lol

Are u kidding me htc ?????
i admire your work with htc one; but a ultrapixel camera with no ois and outdated cpu& gpu with the weight of a brick .....
No wonder htc is losing ground !!!!!

Not bad for a mid-upper range phone.

This is bound to flop. Snap 600 is too old now. People will be expecting Snap 800 SOC in this kind of phone.
Fingerprint sensor is just silly, trailing after Apple-style gimmicks, except that Apple at least put the sensor in a place that's easier to use. The sensor on One Max is so close to the camera lens on the rear that people will mostly end up rubbing their finger to the camera, and smearing it with skin oil - and Spaghetti Monster knows, the "ultrapixel" camera is bad enough already without adding a greasy lens into the mix.
Only die-hard HTC fans will want this, and we've already seen with the regular sized One that they are not numerous enough to make a meaningful difference to the company's death spiral.

dude s600 is enough maybe if u used htc one its very smooth and i dont feel any lag in that but i think htc wants to use s800 in butterfly 2.

S600 - very poor. sony and samsung provide people with S800 in the Z ultra and note III.

and GPU is only a adreno 320. when the phone will come to mass market it will provide you with 1 year old hardware!

it's high noon and i guess that sony will kill HTC in 2014/15. the Z ultra and the One Max are targeting on the same market.

first the 4MP camera and now the S600 in it's 5,9 flagship. HTC is done!

Anonymous, 14 Oct 2013Stop posting non sense.. where in the hell u saw note 3 lag... morehigh ram usage stands for bloatware in touchwiz and yes note3 lags in transitions between screens even swiping down along list as whatsapp contacts the phone lags even if u opened settings then apps then all apps swipe down fast it will lag .... facebook app lag u cant swipe smooth but without lag even home screens if filled with widgets swiping back and forth lags

if u cant see it then its in your eyes. then u could have setteled down with note2

By the Way : Play Asphalt8 on the exynos octa version and play it on even htc one both on highest graphics and see the difference for your eyes.
