price is to high for a no SD card slot phone.

and LTE nexus 4 is way to expensive. xperia Z is 399 euros without contract and offers a SD card slot.

        Good strategy for pricing.
LG may earn a lot next year.

What a load of rubbish. I just left a comment on the source site punching holes in the logic. The article comments that they will activate the LTE in the current model N4, but as we have found out, the LTE radio signals from the N4 dont work in all countries (Not in USA or UK). What would be the point in that?

It's too bad they're slightly raising prices (+$50 for the Nexus 5 16 Gb, over the $350 Nexus 4 16 Gb, the Nexus 5 32 Gb at $500 seems not priced agressively at all), but for those specs and guaranteed updates, the phone is still totally worth it.
Edit: $450 for the Nexus 5 32 Gb sounds more consequent with Google's strategy.

The expensive price suggests Google used good components on this phone. The main disadvantages of Nexus phones (screen quality, camera, sound chip etc) might finally be taken care of.

I don't know that I buy this. The nexus 4 already had an LTE antenna, just wasn't enabled by default. Plus I recently bought one for $200. I'll be dissapointed if my choice is now $300 for the same thing vs $400 for the 5. I mean, at that price, the iphone becomes a contender.

Hmm, this doesn't really jive with Google's claim that the new Nexus would be priced at "half" the iPhone 5S. $400 and $450...yeah it's cheaper but hardly half.

Ya a bit more expensive, but who cares.. that's what a job is for. I just wish Google would announce this already enough waiting, get on with the show!
