Exactly my point. WP8 has been around just a short time compared to Android and thank you for acknowledging that WP was so bad that Microsoft had to completely re-write it, cutting off all owners of phones with WP7.x or earlier from WP8. Nokia phones being upgradable to Belle and the iphone 4/4s are the only phones that I'm aware of which are still being supported with upgrades after being on the market 2+ years.
Read all this as long as it takes to understand, especially the part about the HTC 8x not getting GDR3.

AnonD-75819, 21 Oct 2013you sound like ms PR employee. could you comment on forw... moreUssd support is there in wp8....and file manager is absent because of sandboxing,which makes wp8 the most secure mobile after bb....and only problem is forward button,but as microsoft is adding the the top features voted on user voice,and that does not include forward key,so clearly the users wanted more important things......and btw if you've used gsmarena before you'll know i've supported ios and android when they are the targets of trollers....

Putting a third column would make them look clutter. On PC you can have many customize options too but none seems to do it. If people are happy with default homescreen then there is no need. When I was using my Android using different launchers, I was never happy with the homescreen. I had to keep changing. WP8 has some apps for customization too. Customization is overrated though. Look at Mac, nobody cares about customizing the UI.

Guys, the point to note is for Windows phones its Nokia only, rest everyone else is far away.. IF MS manages to support stuff like full HD displays in recent OS upgrades along with improvement in its applications portfolio, then Nokia might take off in a way that no on can expect (ppl are getting tired of the plasticky galaxys). I would say its still early days and Nokia can resurrect in a way no one can imagine

and these stupid stuffs like subtitles, ussd,file manager etc makes the difference between a good os and half baked os.
i was symbian user bt unfortunately my phone was broken and had to spend a month with lumia(that was like i m in 1 month house arrest)
with half heart i switched to android...
i don't like its power hungry nature but it gets the job done properly.
please continue to praise wp coz it is your bread and butter....goodluck friend

@Tech.Chief any WP8 can already get GDR3 and it's free for anyone. 3rd column is for 1080p screen. It would be too clutter on 720p screen or small screen. You can put a homescreen test on your 720p screen and it's too clutter. How many Android are on official Android 4.3 now? Like 3%? Any WP8 can get GDR3 at this moment. That mean it could be 100% for WP8 vs 2-3% on Android.
