03 November, 2013
The leaked release is reportedly stable enough to work as a daily driver, but misses Knox security.

Knox is very annoying indeed, when you already have security on you smartphone,it even stopped me downloading apps from Google Play,so Samsung better make it so you can uninstall Knox if you want to,just tried my s3 for update but it not available yet

All those who had the chance to test 4.3 will tell you that it has no difference between 4.2.x and 4.3 really.Imo most manufacturers should skip 4.3 and put their effort for 4.4 releases.

Also Sony is said to be updating few devices from last year to 4.4, which is quite cool.

So at least it's better than HTC - Sony - LG

IOS updates seed faster because apple develop it in house, Samsung have to wait for Google to make android available then adapt it for their own hardware then add touchwiz and then test it to make sure it runs properly and finally seed to unbranded phones this is then slowed further by networks adding their own ugly splash screens and boot animations as well as their own useless bloat and again test to make sure its usable......

Hope that helps to explain the delay.

As compared to IOS same day update was available to all iphones. Samsung has to do a lot of work for this.
