Sounds neat, but I'd rather the software and camera to NOT have anything in common with moto. If all manner of different manufacturers take part and prices become competitively low, this will be a sweet deal. If not, then it'll fall in a hole.

But even if this does, at least a lot of energy would be dissipated by the "breaking apart" that you say it would happen.

                  I don't know...
I'm very sceptic about these things.
If I compare this phoneblock to a more older and mature product that would need this even more (notebooks), I would say that modular notebooks wouldn't be a hit because they need to be rock solid.
That's why some phone companies went for the aluminium UNIBODY design and all these Gorilla Glass improvments (granted you can have a Gorilla glass display on a phoneblock).
Phones still need to be solid and shouldn't break into pieces when dropped, which this phone definitely would.
                  That's my 2c.

the manufacturers of displays, processors, storages and etc. will just advertise us on what parts in their view is the best

According to Motorola, it is the only smartphone to be assembled in the United States." One model (not all Motorola phone models), and it is 'assembled' not manufactured in the United States. So you're wrong too.

As his comment was about all Android phones being made in Chinese sweatshops and your inability to catch the relevance. This article is about Motorola hardware, not all Android phones.

                                    Get it?

Also, what reference is there supporting the claim Motorola phones are made in Chinese sweatshops? In fact, Motorola has the only smartphone mfg plant in the USA (a claim that the only other major US based smartphone brand, Apple, can't make) and with that knowledge, the comment shows as being even more biased as well as uninformed:

                                    http://www.informationweek.com/mobile/mobile-devices/motorola-touts-made-in-usa-smartphone-plant/d/d-id/1111493?

So if you want to jump into the middle with your own comment, "But iPhones don't run Android" (duh!), feel free. But don't complain about being caught in the blowback because you didn't catch the irony or don't know all the facts. Facts which makes it clear to me there's bias in the comment against Motorola (which has yet to be defended).
