*Opens his eyes at 5:00 a.m. on 13th December , 2013 Friday*
*Checks time on his mobile phone*
*Amazed to see that it shows a firmware update is available!*
*Sleeps back hoping finally the 4.3 has arrived, with a dedicated oath to get a 3g plan to download it*
*At 1 p.m. gets a big data plan plan recharge*
*Rushes home and quickly puts on the download*
*Finds out it was just 13.07 mb of minor update that Samsung did (-_-)*
*Checks on google maps the nearest iphone store*

On the contrary of what people think about Sammy, it keeps updating its phones even within same android build.

So... Kinda off topic, but I just checked my note3 at random even knowing that I'm not expecting 4.4 till Jan at the earliest (knowing Aussie telcos I'm guessing march-june) And it said that there is a firmware update available. Anyone paid enough attention to what's going on to know which upgrade this is?

Just installed here in the Netherlands on my i9305 and running like a charm. Device just got even speedier. Now that's how an update should be. Good job Samsung.

I'm very much disappointed with S3 update because till now we did not received the the Android 4.3 update... Its better to switch on Iphone...

Its a shame. My s3 lags most of the time. No update yet in the phils. Still 4.1.2. Samsung is this how you treet your customers? Im going back to nokia.

Updated on my SGH-T999.. Wonderful UI. Features as explained. Increase in speed. S3+4.3 = S4 ... :)

Izhan ahmed, 12 Dec 2013Still I have not received official 4.3 update for my unlock... moreI am facing the same update delay for my GT-N7100 in Pakistan. Samsung, though not expected, is pathetic in terms of updates. Imagine almost an year old device, that is still neglected by its manufacturer.
Being in the tech field myself, I wouldn't recommend Samsung to any of my peers. Poor Performance Samsung! Shame!

sorry indians , the last update for samsung galaxy s3 users in india is 4.1.2, if u want latest android update get an s4 or nexus 5.

I have an unlocked international i9300GT.
Still haven't received any software update. Far as we'd heard the 4.3 update had been retracted for battery drain and performance issues...

finally the long wait is over!! :) im still looking forward that kitkat OS will be included. go SAMSUNG we deserve the best from you! :)
