I install the same malware infected micro SD card in my n8, and the latter had no problem with those things. It was running same as before.

AnonD-214682, 04 Jan 2014I do, in my PC.It's not infected actually, just a desktop malware got into your storage maybe from internet or other media but it won't harm the Windows Phone itself. Heck, basically EVERYTHING with digital storage can get "infected" with desktop malware, either it's your phone, camera, TV, console, refrigerator, potato, anythingwithdigitalstorage etc etc etc.

I have been using a Lumia for more than 9 months and my Lumia can be infected with viruses. It's true that a wp device can't install viruses from internet but what if the micro sd card you're using in your Lumia is infected by virus ? Then? I know because I did it just to check, and I'm too disappointed with the result.
and about stealing data on android..I wonder why someone put a serious data on their phone. It's upto user. For most of the common people don't really cares about their Facebook ID, or phone number. If you think someone could be happy in an isolated island,with only meeting his peers over social networks, then the person could be happy with a Lumia. I think system sandboxing for secure the data are like living in a isolated area.
