SD slot is not a must!
But offer bigger internal memory like 32G/64G/128G.
External memory like SD card has many potential problems to cause device to be hanged when you install some programs directly to the SD card.

As far as I see it, HTC has 2 options for this device.
First one is to go with what Evleaks rumored..and build a device based on a S800 processor, 4,9" FHD, 2GB RAM and so on, and price it considerably lower than their competitors will price their flagship devices.
Or they can wait a month or two and go with the latest tech (according to Qualcomm S805 is to be released in first half of 2014.) and build a device based on a S805 processor, 2K display, 3GB RAM, better battery and camera.
IMHO, although it's not necessary to have 2K or 3GB RAM or even S805, the second option is better for HTC, as they would have a true 2014 flagship device which will and is meant to compete with a devices like SGS5, iPhone 6 and the rest of the bunch.

I thought the HTC One was a great phone but all it needed was a fast chipset,8 UltraPixel cam, bigger battery possibly 3000mah and a expandable memory....just my opinion don't shoot me lol.

Still not worth...with Lg G2 priced at 600$ and covering all the aspects of this Htc one+..do we have to buy this phone which i am sure is not be less than 750$ unlocked.So Should we go for it..??i Doubt so

i love the way that HTC m8 will be aluminum body like M7.
but i think battery can be bigger just a little more.

HTC provide you better/stable software mutch and mutch smoother experience than an SS with ther own software (to heavy even for a 3gb SD800 , so what you say is totaly crap....

6mp or 8 mp camera will just be an overkill for htc,
after htc 4mp camrera in one , i thought the next gen phone will be sporting a 2mp camera or 1mp camera
htc fans will be utterly disappointed if the next flagship of htc sports a 6mp or 8mp camera, just a 2mp or 1mp one will suffice

to me its battery, what use if i go somewhere in a trip and i run out of battery, then camera, then speakers, then design then hardware then software.
HTC excels in the design and speaker department, all they need is a bigger battery, at least 3.500 mAH, double or triple the camera pixel, 13 ultrapixel camera, and change that stupid htc logo with a home button, and last add a microSD slot.

Today the most important feature of a mobile phone is a camera. rest comes secondary. unlocking screen type's are all fools garden. Can HTC make a good camera? most of us like our picture's to be zoomed. We definitely need more than just 5 home screens and all the widgets which sense 4.1 is to have including footprints. A removable battery and SD card option is a plus point. We need a HTC flagship phone which can stand tall next to Galaxy S5 and Iphone 6.
I'm a die hard fan of HTC but Ultra pixel and sense 5 forced me to take a back step. i feel a desire HD can take beter pics than HTC One. Butterfly can take beter pics then Butterfly S. are we progressing or going backwards. DO SOMETHING!

Stupid people commenting why doesn't it have 2K resolution or 3GB of RAM... The resolution "upgrade" is in vain because there are No benefits to having 2K over FullHD on a 5" screen. It just sucks more energy. Now 2 GB of RAM is plenty enough, it's not running TW so it doesn't need it. But then you never know, they may suprise us all and put 3GB in it.
