Mike knows his stuff and it's good for HTC for them to be doing a phone that keeps up with present phones, the problem is that I can see the competition moving even further away and HTC losing out again.

Hopefully i'm wrong but it appears to happen all the time to HTC, but this still will be a stellar phone, looking forward to sampling it an will most likely end up buying it.

If this info is true then i will say HTC is finally listening and the M8 will likely be my device even tho it still gives the Samsung GS5 an edge on RAM 3GB and battery removability and probably the rumored 2K screen. I hope the use of software keys will means a more compact less tall device.

What a stupid name, doesn't sound like a seccessor to One, it sounds more like a little upgrade. Also if this is a next gen device, it should have a 3gb of ram and not "only" 2gb.

              Guys, please! Stop this nonsense!
4 ultrapixels are 4 megapixels. A 4 ultra pixel cam produces a photo with 4 milion pixels just like a cam with 4mp the difference is that in fact the camera sensor has more than those 4mp and combines them in the ultrapixel techonlogy to produce a better photo but never forget that the end result is, no mater what you call it, a 4mp photo.
It is not a different kind of pixel or more or less tham a 4mp you still have 4 milion dots on compusing your photo and that is it.
              Nothing more, nothing less.

As long as they don't get screwed by suppliers again.
I dont think its a wish list (it will just about keep it in the top few handsets as they will all get similar hardware later in the year anyway.

Maybe HTC should not always try to be first - but I guess those suppliers are an even bigger problem then.
Also the numerous Chinese manufacturers that are popping up everywhere.

Tricky situation for a small manufacturer.
People forget just how big and how much resource Samsung and LG and now Nokia with the help of Microsoft have. Not to forget Sony also.

I wish HTC well with this,

                      6mp? 8mp?

Doesn't sound like news to me - sounds like someone random guy's wish list.
