arbitrary, 13 Jan 2014This is a slap in the face for owners Xperia T, is Dual... moreI'm regretting buying HOX+ instead of sticking with Samsung or trying out Sony.

As I was expecting. 2 updates for HOX and 1 single update for HOX+. Thanks for proving my point HTC of you ditching your customers in a good year. Sammy and Sony are a million times better then you.

I have a HTC ONE X not + version. And, of course has the same software 4.2.2
How many of those who are complaining here know what are the differences between 4.2.2, 4.3 and 4.4? Nothing really really important, actually.
HTC ONE had software upgrades from 4.0.3 to 4.2.2 and in most cases before its main competitor SG3 got them.
I've never seen a real difference between 4.0.4 (software version that worked the best for me)and all the other updates. The phone was never laggy, even before project Butter.
Actually, i'm more satisfied by my EVO 3D's 4.0.3 than 4.2.2 from my HOX.
Of course, those are personal opinions. Overall, HTC has more improvements in its Sense than most of the others and the lack of 4.3 or 4.4 makes no difference in my opinion.
I will change my HOX with the new M8, HTC ONE+, HTC ONE TWO or whatever will be caled :D, but due to the fact it's 2 years old and I want a new device, not because it does not have KitKat!

I believe that happpens because most of the phones would get few issues after updating - due to matching software for the hardware-

Not surprised at all. Anyone who has owned an HTC flagship prior to the One can tell you what kind of policies they have when it comes to updating older models. Other companies push out the updates sooner and some do it later but the updates do come. HTC just complete stops supporting models over a year old, including flagships.

i agree with all you guys about HTC but for my opinion HTC is a Good Phone and i have no doubt about it bcoz i had 1 before HTC Sensation 4G it was a good phone, the Only problem of HTC is they dont keep update their Costumer when it comes to Software..they might update once afetr that no more update of OS.thats what HTC Needs to do.do like other competitor like Samsung they update even the old model phone.most costumer they are not looking for phone feature they also consider software updates regularly. THis is for HTC information.listen what consumer say and take action.otherwise poeple switch other brand name phone.like i did.

HTC is always like that. ever since.. they are just ggod when they launch the unit after that you own your own.they dont care about older model..unlike samsung,LG,Sony,Motorola etc. they all make sure they keep upadating OS for thier Loyal costumer. thats what HTC need to do..no wonder why HTC sale went down a lot..

I own an HTC One X, and I say to hell with android 4.3/4.4.
The 4.2 on my One X is so stable and everything works absolutely fine.
Why do you need to have the latest android??
One X/One X+ have one of the best cameras, THE BEST music, excellent interface and very smooth UI.
I don't want a buggy samsung-ish 4.4 build that can render my phone laggy or even useless.
Grow Up people - don't be kids - or go whine to your moms - "Mommy! Mommy! He has the latest android 4.4!! I also want it!!!" :P

this is stupid. why is people sh!tting their pants over an update? its still a potent phone that can message people, make calls and surf the internet. its a phone after all, people are too spoiled and feel too privileged to things. try going back to a nokia 3220 then whine

Never more Htc. They dont respect customers. Updating is something. What they don't know how to do and they don't want to do.

This just goes to show that it's all about profits. Google indicated that KitKat is able to run on devices with as little as 512 MB RAM. There's always CyanogenMod Nightlies...bugs included.

There's nothing special on Android 4.4 KitKat except some more Google bloatwares. Android 4.2.1, 4.2.2 and 4.3.x are the best Android versions.
