Still better display than any other smartphone including gs5. Better battery life too. I've had iphone for 5 years. Glad to make the change. Battery life and screen size were poor.

Even samsung treat non flagship phone better by updating galaxy grand. Thats the prove how poor lg in software update. Retaining customer is harder than recruiting new one. Lg should learn this. Im starting to like lg because they are cheaper but have quality. But then dissapoint me with very poor software update. I was convert from motorola to lg because motorola very poor on software update. I guess i convert to wrong brand then, coz they aint different with motorola (before acquired by google)

Just for fun, to fit a 5.5 inch screen in the g2's body would mean to have a size bezel of only 0.6mm, the top bezzel shrunk from 8.3 to 5.3 mm and the bottom bezel from 11 to 7.5. Personally I would try to make the top bezel thicker(leave it at 8.3) and narrow the bottom one to only 5.5, because there are also the on screen keys that eat from the screen's real estate. It would be close to perfect.

A 5.5'screen vs a 5'one (probably the upcoming htc m8/two's size) gives you 5.5mm of width and 9.5mm of height. Quite a lot in a body of about the same size

from my calculations, a 5.5'screen vs a 5.2 one is 4mm wider and about 6,5 mm taller.
The g2 has a 2.6mm bezel on the sides. The g3 would narrow it down to about 1.5 probably, so the new flagship would be only about 2mm wider and probably have the same height(again, 1-2mm taller) as the g2.
So the g3 would be 140.1mm tall and about 72.7mm wide. In comparison, the sg note2 with 5.5'as well is 151.1mm tall and 80.5mm wide.
                Awesome

LG to skip Android 4.3 and update many of its devices to Android 4.4 | Our connected reader has just sent us some information pertaining to LG and the Korean OEM's work on updating its lineup to Android 4.4. According to our tipster, many of LG's devices will be going straight to Android 4.4, skipping right over Android 4.2 and Android 4.3 in most cases. Among the models not getting an update is the LG Optimus 4X HD... ----

Maybe this is the right way, to launch it in may. I would most deffinetly love it.
Personally, I would rather have a 5.3" with capacitive buttons, than 5.5" with on-screen keys.Though it is better in video playback, it takes up precious screen while gaming and overall using the phone.
And the 2k resolution is also something questionable. I don't know if the quality of the image will be improved, but the battery life will certainly be affected.

If the g3 had a 5.5' screen, than the top and bottom bezels would be reduced a bit and also the size bezels would go from 2.6mm to about 1.5 probably. The battery will be somewhere in the 3500 region, I believe. I hope it will sport an SD card slot, and if not the 16gb version should be replaced with a 64 one, so we could choose from 32 and 64.

The camera will have an IOS, around 16 megapixels and will shoot 4k video.
If only it had capacitive keys...I hate on-screen buttons. LG should at least implement a software feature to hide the keys and show them after a swipe up from the bottom of the screen, without rooting it(that red bar from the root application is also ugly)
