It won't be the greatest value for money, but neither will it be "totally unusable" like the haters will claim. I have used the "old" S3 Mini and it's an okay phone for moderate use. If you want the fastest and best, you won't be buying a lower mid-range phone anyways. That said, initially it was was clearly overpriced and kind of rip-off.

Well the phone is absolutely idiotic to us but I think samsung has a greater plan ahead. I think they will offer tizen updates to all these phones somewhere in the future and will try to break the android monoply hence getting the software market...

Sammy is a looser, nobody will buy this phone, is obsolete hardware and S.O.!
Samsung will hve to rebuild the Galaxy line in all ways, see LG's, great phones and even updating the design of your phones...im a very proud LG's fan! :P

It is also for sale here in Portugal under the name Samsung I8200. It also has NFC though, not sure the original I8190 had it.

For everyone who thinks its a wrong move by Samsung, their decisions are based on market needs. And whats wrong in making a product better. As long as there are takers any product is great! Besides Samsung has been leading the way for the last many years. ..

I have one like that . Is Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini SM-G730W8 and is a perfect size in hand (better than old S3 Mini : LTE(old just 3G) , 2000 mah battery (old just 1500 mah),dual-core 1.2 GHz with Adreno 305 (old just dual-core 1.0 GHz with Mali 400)...in rest it's same. In Canada is 250$ cad + tax full price
