UK Galaxy S4 and Note 3 now getting Android 4.4 KitKat

I have S4 from UAE. I recently traveled to India and had an upgrade of my phone. Unfortunately, after that, I am unable to pull down the notification bar and unable to close application using the key. I am struggling with this since 3 weeks. Can anyone help?
Model - i9505
android - 4.4.2
Baseband - I9505XXUGNE5

It isn't bug free yet bugs aren't excessively irritating. Missing concealing applications from applications rundown. A few hiccups in exhibition and scrolling on home screen. Display isn't improve yet see more http://goo.gl/3f3WBe

Hi,
The above settings will make default sync for all the apps enabled, which I dont want. Before kitkat I was able to do manual sync for email or other apps as per my need.

after the latest firmware installed on my galaxy note3 the phone starts heating a lot... if u watch the photos or open any of the menu its get heat a lot affraid that it doesnt gt burst in my hand while havng a talk ........SAMSUNG DISAPPOINTED A LOT.............

here is a simple solution for 4.4.2 sync problem.
go to > settings >connections tab , then 'Data Usage' , then click on hard menu button (bottom left) of phone-check (tick) Auto Sync data.... hope it helps

Android 4.4.2 was launched way back on 26th February in India. But I have not received the update yet. I tried to do it manually but the server responded "Latest updates are already installed on your device"
I want to ask if this is due to the different region from where I purchased the mobile?
Or should I have received the update immediately after it was released in India?
