What I want is for them to shrink their bezels move branding to back. Size should be around 4.87 x 2.31 x 0.30 in (screen size 4.5 in 720p) this should give enough room for front; camera, speaker, led notification. Also please leave all same hardware goodies as big brother including: IR blaster, nfc, bluetooth 4.0. I would sacrifice thickness a bit for all that up to 10mm is not bad.

I don't think this is the sony xperia z2 compact. I heard this phone shown is codenamed xperia A2 ? The first compact, the experia zr(xperia z mini) is called xperia A too as well if im not wrong.(go check wiki) . So, if this is called A2, this has to be a different version of the original z1 compact.(probably a different variant of the z1 compact for a different region). Thus, i still believe z2 compact can be much better than this .

Sony don't forget about glass on the back too...
Glass in front, plastic on the back...what is that !?

Anonymous, 08 Apr 2014So now you are so ignorant you contradict everything I just... moreIf Plastic is so great, why did all the Samsung fans get disgruntled about the Galaxy S5 (again) being made from cheap plastic that looks like a band-aid? They wanted a device to fit the price point. Plastic doesn't cut it anymore.

Samsung fans wanted a device that exudes class and looks premium. The plastic, removable back is a feature from 2011. It's dated and swapping batteries, along with removable back covers, are an antiquated ideation. Consumers want uni body construction.

Since you are a staunch supporter of facts, surely you have a link to the aforementioned iPhone and HTC One getting hot, right?

I also know exactly what I am talking about, unlike yourself. You really do not make a lot of sense. I have hardly tried to hide my bias on plastic. How can I? It's written down for all to see. You cite people who voted for the HTC One as mobile of the year as "having disgusting morals"? What does morality have to do with it?? That's an odd thing to state.

Where are you from? I still don't think you fully grasp the English language. For instance, I can't contradict YOU, that doesn't make sense. A person can only contradict themself.

AnonD-212255, 07 Apr 2014I own both the iPhone 5s & the HTC One & I can tell... moreSo now you are so ignorant you contradict everything I just said. Then you make the illogical claim that Iphones and HTC One do not get really hot ever unless it's a defect....LOL....Wow...Seriously??? That's pitifully scraping for random non factual points...

Then after I point out all the bad things you said about plastic and how you act like you didn't....
You go and do it again. Saying you only said it's not premium...Which in itself is not true...but again denying how you said it was cheap, guady, and just saying bad things about it....But supposedly still you never said this....

I'll take the high road and actually answer your question even though you will continually lie, deny, and contradict me.
No it obviously would not have. Society is poorly driven by disgusting morals.

And if you want to talk design and material Motorola Droid Razr XT912 trumps all. It's incredibly sleek and strong compared to others. And actually had battery life to compensate...
Unlike HTC where the somehow manage to use non removable batteries "already makes more room for juice". Not only that, but they are generally Lithium Polymer. "Which they hold higher capacities in smaller packages". Major part there. And lastly the devices tend to be a good bit thicker.

So they are making much thicker devices with non removable Lithium Polymer batteries....That are smaller and don't last as long.

Why do people like you comment and pretend to understand what they are talking about? Especially when you just have a biased view and will lie, deny, and contradict just about the whole time?

r, 03 Apr 2014no problem with 4.5 inch if it has the same size as z1 compact.Their difference in size is just .6 millimeter so its just a hairline.

Anonymous, 04 Apr 2014It makes no sense for you to want the back to be made from ... moreYes and no. You can't believe how easy it is to scratch the Z1c back. No samsung's plastic back scratches that much as Z1c's back.

Anonymous, 06 Apr 2014Wow....So are you truly that naive or that ignorant? And th... moreI own both the iPhone 5s & the HTC One & I can tell you from both personal experience as well as reading XDA & other forums that neither mobile would be classified as getting "hot".

Hot implies that you can't even handle it. If that is indeed the case, it is obviously defective.

I pointed out that plastic wasn't premium, as that is how I perceive it. What did you mean when you said, "And you do realize glass and aluminum are cheap recyclable material right?"...and you have the audacity to call me contradictory. That's rich.

Can you also answer my question? Do you think that the HTC One would've won mobile of the year had it been made from plastic? Wasn't it the all aluminum uni-body design that made it standout from the other mobiles?

Why do reviewers even bother to comment on the build quality of devices if plastic is the same as metal & vice versa?

And then you claim I don't understand English while lying and contradicting yourself. Congratulations on being an even higher level troll than the first time I congratulated you.

First of all you indeed are even in this last statement are implying that they are better. As you are continually pointing out how you think it's cheap, guady, not durable, not premium, and so forth.....but nooooo. You're not saying anything and I don't understand English.

As well as implying Iphone apparently does not get hot.
I also initially replied because you said you never dropped it because you "tend to take care of electronics that cost hundreds of dollars". Which came off condescending and as a view that only clumbsy/uncareful people drop phones.

And again implied of cheap plastic. So all in the same breath it's cheap and gaudy....but you're not saying anything is better....... And I don't understand English.

Sooo. .....Let's try this again. Or by all means....we can continue this.

That's what I thought. Face it. Premium devices should be made with premium materials, not gaudy colored plastic. It's not quantum physics.
