Sony Xperia Z2 Compact may have just passed by the FCC

Sony seems to be working on another flagship mini. It uses Sony's 20.7MP sensor and G Lens.

So I made logical points and that means I'm saying nothing because it contradicts your illogical points...Congratulations.

And yes. You spent the money and it is your PREFERENCE. However what you and many other trolls seem to do is mix your PREFERENCE in with the meaning of quality of materials/build.
Just because YOU PREFER glass does not make it the best.
Just because YOU PREFER glass does not make plastic bad.
Especially high grade Poly Carbonate that offers more overall durability and practicality.
You just like the feel of the glass better. Yet you sit here and make up all this non factual crap to support your own PREFERENCES.

I have every right as a consumer to complain about materials. If I spend $700.00 on a device, I don't want cheap looking, flimsy plastic. What would your so-called" reality check " consist of? You've responded, but haven't really said anything. Just a lot of catch phrases with no merit.

And the thing is anyone complaining about the materials needs a reality check.
And no. Poly carbonate plastic is high grade and does not break as easily as glass. And the scratches you can so easily get on that aluminum. Or the dents. Especially with the out of box scratched 5. That was lovely.

And what does it matter that glass and aluminum are recyclable? So are plastics. I would still rather have my mobile made from glass and aluminum as they look and feel better. Plastic can crack just as easy as glass can break.

And you do realize glass and aluminum are cheap recyclable material right? And the aluminum on the Iphone is far from scratch proof. And dent proof. And heats up faster and can get hotter.

Anonymous, 04 Apr 2014It makes no sense for you to want the back to be made from ... moreGorillas glass could hardly be classified as "brittle". Especially when you put a high quality screen protector over it.

I also own an iPhone 5s and I have managed to keep it in intact and in pristine condition. I have never in my life, dropped my mobile. I tend to take care of electronics that cost hundreds of dollars.

My friend has the Z1c as well and he also takes care of his mobiles, but that cheap plastic back has countless hairline scratches.

There were hoardes of consumers that were so psyched that BOTH the front and back were made from glass, but even after Sony's lie was exposed, they then simply shrugged it off with a simple "oh well".

Not sure about you, but I don't pay premium prices for cheap plastic. Sony could've AT LEAST used a rigid polycarbonate for the back.

I would tend to say that customers are slightly in advantage over sony itself, because I also think the prices for the so called flagships will decrease (nice for us) as soon a new model is announced even I guess we will seeing the XZ2C in five to six months months from now on. As you said, I see nothing wrong when people look for the latest phones, I simply do not see the logic (maybe money is not relevant) behind that since a flagship phone will be a flagship phone only for a very short time (very short). Even sony said they will be replacing their high end phones every six months, so why paying so much. The not at all amazing camera and the build quality made me reconsider to skip the Z1 compact, so I am really waiting for this model and for sure I will wait a couple of months after release so I do not have to pay so much. I would even buy the Z today but size does really matter to me. I think most of the phone makers try to fool people with their over sized phones. Again, nothing wrong if people love to buy such "phones" but at the end it happens the same, they are paying so much for something that due the size can be offered for much more less (see xiaomi products). Well let us hope this will be a great phone. The bigger version Z2 will already show the direction sony took this time. Greetings.

Depending on where you live and such, perhaps you can buy directly/or import a Photon Q (4.3" screen) or Droid 4 (4" screen). Both support most global 3G (HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 for droid 4, but not 900 for photon q), but more strict on 4G (700Mhz band for droid 4 and 1900 MHz band for photon Q.
