Verizon buys Cincinatti Bell for $210 million

Verizon has acquired Cincinnati Bell for $210 million. The transition will be made final in the 2nd half of 2014.

Somebody needs to buy Verizon and Sprint in the US and turn them to GSM. It's fragmented over there.

Great news - I've been looking for a reason to get out of my contract anyway. Only recently have they had any semblance of decent handsets, their coverage is spotty at best, and 15 minutes north of my house meant roaming. Finally - a reason to convince my wife to go elsewhere - because we don't have a choice anymore!!
