Samsung reportedly expecting to ship 35 million Galaxy S5s in Q2

15 April, 2014
The high number of shipped units will likely result in better than expected earnings for the quarter.

everytime the new S-series launch...samsung will make "buzz" telling public the bizarre sales target figure.

Last year they said to sell 100million S4,at last s4 become "failure" and only manage for less than 40 million.

This article is only to brain washed the public on the
hype they tried to sell.

Typical samsung "desperate" marketing move.

Honestly, people dont see other brand like apple/HTC/sony to come out this kind of desperate marketing statement.

This is actually not so impressive, considering how many countries that are included in the initial launch. Samsung are just trying to mask the lackluster response of the consumers so that many others will think that this is the next hottest gadget.

I predict Samsung sales stagnating or declining. The GS2 GS3 was an amazing phone, heaps and shoulders above the rest at that time. Now other manufacturers have caught up. Samsung is so advanced in many technical areas but they are not listening to the few that they do not excel in. A Galaxy device with the same premium feeling as the Samsung Wave! Metal yes Metal. A device that is not so fragile it smashes the screen from a 40cm drop! A LAG FREE DEVICE. My GS3 and friends GS4 LAG. Not a lot. But the stutter in the UI completely ruins the experience for me. So much so that I now have a Nexus 5. Camera is not as good, audio output, battery life etc etc etc but I don't care because the UI is totally smooth.

I think the sales of S5 really is not that smooth in Singapore. I see no queue and thus far not many people around me is carrying it yet.

Mr. X, 16 Apr 2014S4 Actual Sold: 40 Million < Shipped: 63 Million <... moreThats true for Q2, but if they ship 35 million now, they might very well be sold out before christmas... Or for samsungs sake hopefully before their next flagship release this year (that one with QHD screen, snapdragon 805 or later, that is note the Note 4)

of course sites (probably) paid will say what they are paid to write. Yesterday morning i read that Samsung reports of "long lines" seen only in iPhone launches. they say countries like India etc have sold out. Here is a report from a trusted Indian news website. http://t.co/jEcq8fJMIF Sales not good. Already facing a price cut so they can push more units. One thing is sure...Samsung profit will slide further than 2013 with all the marketing billions they spent and lackluster sales

"Samsung insiders told The Korea Times that the company shipped roughly 63 million Galaxy S4 units, but sold 40 million."

So if Samesung sold less than two-thirds of its shipped Galaxy S4 phones, presumably we should expect only 23 million devoces sold based on the 35 million shipping estimate.

                        S4

Actual Sold: 40 Million < Shipped: 63 Million < Estimate Shipment: 100 Million (May be)

                        S5

Estimate Shipment: 35 Million for the 2nd quarter > Actual Shipment > Actual Sell

So guys don't be crazy with the numbers....

I don't get it how the initial sales figure of S5 is impressive. It is initially launched in over 120 countries. More than double than the S4's launch duration countries and it only managed to increase it's initial sale by 30%. Comparing it with S4's only available in 60 countries at launch. It's not an impressive figure. Well, lets see what happens.
