I may be the only one (or I may not) but, from what I see now, I don't like the curved display. All I keep thinking about is accidentally pressing buttons or having to be really restricted on how I can hold the phone.... Hopefully, this is just a patent for a future phone and not a design for the Samsung Note 4. I hope they release this concept with a non-flagship phone to see how it holds and then, maybe, start using it on the big players like the Galaxy and Note Series if it is successful. IF this is the Note 4, I will probably not buy it unless the concerns I have are nonexistent.

Wow. After reading some of these comments... You folks realize that this is just another patent filing right? While the post title is misleading (that's on GSMarena), it doesn't necessarily mean that this is how the Note 4 will look. If anything it hints that they are working on an edge to edge display. Maybe the screen would end at the edge?

If they try to wrap the screen around I'm not sure how you would hold it or why you would want to use those buttons on the side or back. That's why it's, basically, just a concept at this stage

I Agree with John, most expected features, but not S5 steel finish edges. should be matt finish in the edges. steel looks like outdated.

Honestly, I really hate Samsung but on the other hand, this is a good design. I mean it'll feel really comfortable in hands just like the Nokia phones out there but they don't have curve displays. Still, Samsung must have already considered the side "touchscreen".

AnonD-168288, 22 Apr 2014That may well be true but the moment the novelty wears off ... moreActually a protection cover for this kind of phone is not impossible.

I am not very good in physics hence not sure if this would work.
Instead of having a one piece flip case or hard cover, we can have four piece of small rubber-ish skin with around 5mm thickness stick to the four corners of the phone.

This way, there will be no direct impact to the phone whenever you drop it.

Hope you get what i mean.
