This percentage means nothing as long as we don't have the total sales figures
Could be that less phones were sold around this time so the S5 has a higher percentage.

This is really really surprising considering the adoption rates of S5. I am waiting for Note 4 since the rumors suggest "NEW DESIGN". Hopefully, that could replace my 1020 or if I am wrong, 1820/1030 would be the thing....

And 4.7-5 inches is not phablet.
Iphone misses a lot more than just size. Almost every aspect of it is much inferior older technology yet sold at the same price as everything with the latest and greatest most expensive technology.

Can you logically understand the difference in sales?
With IOS you only have ONE Iphone. No choices. So that Iphone is the only one that sells. So it sells well.
With Android it's not just the Galaxy. People have many great choices.
So it's every Android against the Iphone AND every other Android. So with the extremely vast array of choice this is..If any one Android alone can come close and even start to surpass the sales of Iphone all on it's on....Let alone the other Androids together that dwarf it's sales....That's a big claim.
Especially when you also factor in the society misguided love towards apple.

But I get the feeling that iphone6 would be a big hit and smash all sales records if they increased the size to say 4.7 inches or 5 inches. Better still - release 2 models in different sizes say 4.7 inches & 5.5 inches. That would probably even make the battle against the upcoming note 4 one-sided in favour of iphone. I am strictly talking about sales numbers, not the functionality/quality of the products.

The IP5S was launched in October 2013, and figures for the S5 being an April 2014 launch, its figure were NOT available for comparison in October 2013

Finally re Apple v Samsung and what for me the unending optimism of the NEXT Apple iPhone
Since the IP4 and waht would be on IP4S very little has come after the hype before launch
I guess the reason why the Z2 / HTC ONE (M8) and the S5 go from strength to strength is all have left Dual Core camera behind
An Iphone6 with sapphire coating and whatever will be nothing new.
The S5 and Note 3 are too big but iphones do need to get bigger as they are way too small.
I am seeing a owners of S4 & S5 who I would NOT have thought would have the latest tech, who simpley have gone for the phone to have the best

iPhone6 will definitely outpace S5 if they produce bigger screen @ 4.7" and larger because the battle now is bigger screen or simply called a phablet, a hybrid of phone and a smaller tablet...that's why Galaxy S series and Notes is everywhere...aside from most features and apps were it could be found in any brand....iPhone miss the sizes...that's all..and bye

Funny because S5 was launched last week here in Manila with the 2 biggest network here but I haven't seen a single S5 yet. I work in one of the CBD so I thought some people may have already gotten it. But none seen so far.
